Kev maybe Pembrokeshire would be a good idea. Andy would love St David's cathedral and there's other quite nice churches in the area. If Andy is at all interested in castles there's plenty in the area aswell as beaches if he at all likes the seaside.
@shuandrew3 жыл бұрын
I was just about to suggest something similar. A countryside/seaside break rather than theme parks and great big attractions, which are crazy busy. I'm sure Andy would love Pembrokeshire with Folly Farm, that dinosaur park near Tenby, boat ride to Caldey Island, etc. Maybe Oakwood Park and Gwili Steam Railway

Hello Kevin, I have just come back from Alton Towers on Wednesday. There was a little queue to get into the park, but once you are in there was no queues to get into anywhere specific. the rides were about 20/30 minute waits but they do have the disabled access so Andy will be able to go to the front of the line and get on. If you have any questions about it, please let me know. Ben

Sounds like a challenging time with recent changes whether planned or otherwise seemingly unsettling Andy. Maybe ask the local authority, school or CAMHS if they can recommend an activity centre or new care agency in your area offering either a day's respite (e.g. 9am-5pm) or more consistency. There's a man-made beach called Bosworth in Nuneaton which is near to Leicester. Ideal for a weekend trip perhaps? Good at cooling people down if the weather stays warm too.

I went to Alton Towers with my autistic daughter during half term. CBeebies land is open to come and go as you please, but the live shows are restricted from what I could see, so that might be something to look at before you go if Andy likes that kind of thing. For the rides, you can apply for a ride access pass before you go, then pick it up on arrival, which is then valid for 2 years! This allows people with disabilities to go on the rides with minimal queuing. They do write times on a card when you can go back to the ride, but they were quite slack with it to be honest. We had a really good day there! 😊

Have you ever been to York minster? It is a really interesting huge cathedral I think Andy would love. It’s definitely a whole activity in itself but I found there was lots to see when I went. Hey kev, I heard you were looking at getting another gaming pc or upgrading one and I am looking at getting one myself and was wondering if you had any recommendations? I know a bit about GPU's and CPU'S but I'm not sure if Intel which is what I'm running now is better than AMD? I'm currently looking at the Crystal Elite gaming pc from chillblast which has Intel i9 10900k, GeForce RTX 3090 10GB and 32GB DDR4 Ram!
@simeonyves59403 жыл бұрын
This is not Kevin, but, I think I can Help You The 3090 is 24GB, its the 3080 which is 10GB, the 3080 a Very Good 1440P Card (the 3090 is not really worth its Money unless You Really want to go 4K...but, even the 90 is going to Struggle Hitting 60FPS at 4K with RT Turned on as RT is an absolute Hammer blow to the Performance no matter what Card is in use!) , Lots of Bang for Buck, but they are Difficult to Find at the Moment with the current Situation. Gigabyte Aorus is the Best Brand IMO with the Triple Windforce Air-Cooler and RGB, however, as they are using the Same Fan Shroud as the RTX 3090 on their 3080 and 3080Ti Units, the Card is a *Monster* at 300MM and needs a very Big Case! I recommend going Gigabyte Aorus on the Motherboard as well, However, as they have to come in from Taiwan, there is a Shortage so You may have to Wait. However, the AMD Ryzen's absolutely Mop the Floor with the 10th and 11th Gen Intel's, its like the Old K6 Days (when they absolutely Dominated against the Pentium 2) as they have 20% more Cores, more Hyperthreads, are Faster with Higher Stock Clocks (AMD do not overclock as well as Intel, but are Faster in Per Core Performance when Factory Stock), and its *Cheaper* They do Need a Liquid Cooler however as AMD CPU's like to Run Hot! The Big Case needed for the 3080 with Triple Windforce should make it easy to Install a Custom Built Liquid Cooling system, which tend to be Safer than All in One Systems. Ensure You Max out the Cooling Fans, You need Fans in every Slot to keep a PC with that Level of Thunder under the Bonnet Nice and Cool! 32GB of DDR4 (The Corsair Dominator Platinum RGB is a good Pack IMO) at around 3700 HZ would be a Good Match for a RTX 3080 (or 3080TI if You can Find one and Stretch to about £1100 as that blows the 3080 into a cocked Hat and is within 10 FPS of a 3090 at 1440P) and a 5900X. I also Recommend a 1TB PCIE NVME SSD for the OS and a 4TB (I know they are Expensive, But Games these Days are getting to be over 100GB Per Game with all the Patches and DLC Installed) SATA NVME SSD for Storage. I would not go with a Prebuilt from a major Chain Company however, as they tend to be Overpriced somewhat, I would Recommend instead going with either a Small Non Chain Company like I use. Hope that Helps :)
@FeaturesGaming3 жыл бұрын
@@simeonyves5940 this helps a ton, thank you. I meant to put it had a 3080, I mistyped it 😂 I would not be looking to go 4k right now and not even RT on - maybe on some games but not high-end games. I also am looking for a machine to record and stream with that doesn't slow down anything or never notice a drop in frames on all types of games like Roblox (yes, you read that correct), Minecraft Java and bedrock, ETS2, Among Us and a few more games and my laptop currently can run those fine while streaming and recording but I have to tweak a few settings to get it absolutely smooth and I would like to run each game at max settings at ideally above 100fps - 60fps minimum although I am thinking of getting a 200+ refresh rate monitor as I need to get one (and keyboard). I don't know how to assemble most components of a pc however my stepdad is a beast with that sort of stuff but we both worry that something might go wrong to build the pcs ourselves. I see how you said about a big pc case too but I would like to have a case that's as small as possible as I don't have a lot of space in my room. Appriciate all of your suggestions massively and I will take them into consideration when deciding what pc to get! 🙂

Hi Kev. In relation to possible holidays for you guys, have you considered purchasing a caravan or motorhome? It seems that you have a decent possible tow car for pulling the caravan, so pulling the caravan shouldn't be an issue. Caravanning generally is flexible, and there are numerous caravan sites to visit all over England and France etc. Further benefits that would aid caravaning is joining motorhome and caravan clubs, which further allow for discounts on caravan sites. You guys could effectively set off for a caravanning holiday for 10 days or just for the weekend. Caravanning is relatively cheap aswell, relative to abroad holidays and ultimately if you find that caravanning is not for you guys, you could always resell your caravan and they generally tend not to depreciate that much. Let us know if you need any further guidance? 👍

Hi Kev, mentioned it on a previous video but my home town of Bury, Not a typical holiday resort but I'm sure you'd have fun. Slightly cheaper than stopping in central Manchester and I'm sure Andy would enjoy the commute using the tram. Theres Europe's biggest free to play arcade here (Look on here for Arcade Club Bury) for a post Covid tour. Theres the East Lancs Railway steam trains (which includes entry to the transport museum opposite), the Heaton Park Tramway (similar to Blackpool trams, but set within a park - theres boats to hire, playgrounds to play in and a little farm to visit here too) and loads of churches. Obviously central Manchester is on the door step which can be reached via a Tram, get off at Victoria and you'd be walking straight out to the Cathedral & Printworks where the Rooftop golf you've previously visited. Plus if Amy were to come she could experience the Friends cafe in Primark. You could also look into the CBBC Tour at Mediacity? Finally on the outskirts of Manchester theres the Chill Factore, alongside the main ski ramp they offer something called a "Snowpark" Heres a quick description I've lifted off the website; "Our Snow Park offers the ultimate real snow adventure in Manchester. From thrill filled sledging to the delights of the Downhill Donuts. Our Snow Park is perfect for kids and adults alike! So, take your marks and zip down our real snow slope! Ice Slide: Release your inner ‘big kid’ as you tackle the twists and turns of our ice slide. Downhill Donuts: Ride the slope in our large single or double inflatable rubber ring and speed down the Snow Park lanes and race for first place! Sledge 'n’ Slide: Race your pals to the bottom of our real snow slope."

Where the government hopes to remove a legal limits on social contact. Try Salcey forest in Northampton. It's a forest walk and if the weather is nice can be quite good. We have taken our autistic son Ben there. It's free you just pay for parking. Or try stanwick lakes near rush den.
