What sets your channel apart from so many others is that you explain why things are happening... like the use of granulated garlic (don't want to burn fresh garlic)... Those "throw away lines" are so valuable to us home cooks. Thanks for doing this, absolutely the best channel on KZbin.

Chef, I love your videos. However, my doctor does not. He tells me that eating butter is going to kill me. Can you please include some recipes that contain more butter? If we're going to go out, we might as well do it while loving what we cook.

You need to watch is other video about butter! He shows Time Magazine's article that butter is good for you. Your Dr. is out of touch. My mom read that article when it came out, she was so mad that she had been killing herself with margarine all this time!

My Mother-in-law used lard and began cooking for her family when she was six. She passed last year at age 105. The only medication she took was Ibuprofen.

Had to try making this after I saw the video. It came out really well and I couldn't thank the great Chef Jean Pierre for the great videos he puts out. He is really the only chef who explains each recipe in great detail and how each step is crucial in the final result. Love this guy.

I am certainly not a professional chef, but I do love to cook! When people say how delicious my food is, I always tell them the number one most important ingredient is love! Really, that goes for anything you do, not just cooking... If you don't love what you are doing, it just isn't going to be as good. Your love and passion for cooking really shines through, that's what really draws me to your channel! I absolutely love watching your channel!

Yesterday I had a weird moment. I thought it was Thursday and time for a new recipe from the one and only Chef JP, picked up my phone and saw a KZbin notification and assumed it was a new upload from the chef. But it wasn’t off course it was Wednesday. And to be honest I felt a little bit disappointed That is the effect the chef has on me. Enough talking time to enjoy this video. Greetings chef. ❤️

Hi Chef JP... I feel like potatoes just don't get enough recognition for their versatility. Breakfast - Hash Browns Fast Food - Fries and wedges Fancy Dinner - Baked and twice baked Holidays - Mashed with butter, cream, sour cream, parmasean cheese and chives Relaxing - Chips Party time - Vodka There's a potato for every occasion and every taste. Thanks for all your great lessons, they are invaluable

💕 Love any potatoes. Saw a cool idea online, tried it and was very good. If you are peeling russet potatoes don't throw away peels. Rinse, heat up oil in pan, I used cast iron, and fry them up crisp w salt, pepper and whatever...very good!

Such a wonderful, enthusiastic chef, this man is. Watching his recipes is not just informative, but fun. Don't you feel like you are right there in his kitchen with him? He is so welcoming. I totally recommend this channel. Even if I don't cook all this stuff. Much better than TV.

You know hash brown potatoes in Jersey diners are the 💥 They have to be crispy and browned, they have to have onions - no onions, no hash brown potatoes! And green/red pepper. Nothing stingy with the onions and peppers, either. Velveeta cheese makes a liquid Velveeta in a pouch called Liquid Gold. It's aMAzing! You're doing it just like my dad sans cheese, which is a nice memory ❤ Great stuff ! Thank you, CHEF JEAN PIERRE 😎

I love All the butter. My dad was told never to eat butter. Then 5 years ago they told him no more margin to only eat butter. So God gave us butter from the cow not a lab. I love all that you give me in recipes

Sans cheese I used to do the same thing with potatoes peppers and onions flipping and flopping the giant hash brown. Excellent job.

I cook my cornbread on the stove top, when done, I give it a 'flip' to brown the top then split it in half and layer cheese inside before putting it back together to melt... very much the same idea... it's wonderful.

Hashbrown potatoes that turn out fantastic...the pre-rinse/dry technique was new to me. I had used previously cooked potatoes before. Yummy.

Chef! I'm overwhelmed by how you can take a ho hum dish and turn it into a delicious masterpiece! This kind of reminds me of your tomato pie recipe. I might add some fresh rosemary to it. I'm making this this weekend with your quiche recipe. Thanks chef!

Rosemary is thick with oils now, unusual for it being so rainy but that are getting lots of sun too. My sage was real stinky too.

@@rosameryrojas-delcerro1059 Yep, just do make it often. The most important part is has he soaks a squeezes the potato. That is not is the recipe so I ended up with mush that took forever, an hour or two, maybe longer, to cook at all.
