I had the lenovo tablet with a built in digital laser projector. Even though it wasn't the brightest or the highest resolution it was such a universal projector compared to a budget 1080p conventional projector now. If anything brightness was on par between them but the focusing range and keystoneing was super powerful on the lenovo tablet. I remember projecting it fully on a 20ft shipping container as a screen and you could focus till crispy where as the modern one only goes to about 100inches. I Would love to see a modern portable 1080p dlp with a phone app for digital focus and keystoning with built in Google TV so it can be run off of a mobile hotspot and powerbank

@thylordloper81752 жыл бұрын
@@deathchimp2 Samsungs largest OLED is the 595B at 65" at about $2000 I believe you were looking at their Q60B which is an 85 in QLED at $1600, while it still will deliver a great viewing experience it is a different technology and definitely doesnt achieve the true blacks and dynamic range of an oled. While the projector shown here is not a good example of products available, Linus' epson ls12000 produces a quality comparable to mini led which would cost multiple times more while also only providing a smaller maximum screen size so while not perfect for everyone projectors definitely still have a place at home theaters.

NexiGo has strong products as far as I know. I got one of their more budget options awhile ago, but ended up going with an ETOE projector. The ETOE was cheaper and seemed to have a more pleasing UI and ended up being cheaper finding a really good deal. Both were 4k projectors, and NATIVE 1080p. Many of the budget "4K" projectors on Amazon are not even native 1080p. The budget NexiGo I got was very budget feeling in quality, but nothing unexpected. Both did a great job on the 4k upscaling, but this is something to be wary of because it won't always work with every input/connection. I haven't experienced much of a problem with this on the software/codec/video not being supported side, but I have seen that the Amazon Fire Stick will not go higher than 1080p connected, and the Roku stick sort of does it at 4K "HDR" but only 30Hz definitely still notice the difference however. For like $150 I have upscaled 4K with enough brightness for a beginner setup into projectors.

Can laser projectors be pointed up I wonder, do they not have the same heat issues as normal ones do ?
