I used to play on a server where on a bloodmoon mobs would have strength 5, some would have resistance, etc. They gave you a totem of undying if you managed to live through it.

It makes it more interesting to learn that Terraria was sort of a projection of what Minecraft fell short of, at least in the eyes of Terraria's creator. This video essentially describes the "Blood Moon" in Terraria, through the higher enemy spawn rates and harder enemies, along with the general creepiness. I think Terraria's blood moon fits Notch's description of an ideal horror night even better than the alterations made for this video.

@@Beeean Creativity is squandered by these mega farms and ultra optimized builds. There's no creativity in copy pasting some machine you saw in a YT tutorial. Elytra squanders creativity too. Why would anyone want to terraform and create waterways, build bridges, or use railways in creative ways when they can just equip an unbreakable flying tool and use rockets to afk fly everywhere? Why does anyone need to build cool and creative arenas using traps and stuff for raids when they can just equip god armor and stand still in one spot while afk clicking away? Seriously try and shed light to how modern Minecraft is any more creative than older Minecraft in any way besides the selection of blocks
