--I've got a wide variety of wrenches...I'm not sure what these were designed around...it could be a case of the manufacturer being too generous and attempting to accommodate to many wrench designs. It is also unfortunate with some of the selected wrench sizes.

-If you only deal in smaller sizes, getting them standalone might be a better option
--Getting a standalone 1 1/16" and 1 3/16" wrench to use these larger fittings would be expensive and you could get another AN Wrench Set, or Pliers Wrench + Soft Jaws for less money

A roller coaster video on this product! BTW 1 1/16" is the standard on an Anode on most Hot Water tanks. which should be replaced every 2 years or so

Haha, no kidding...great idea but lacks consistent fitment. I''m aware how hard it would be to make this type of a deal "universal" but when one size fits super tight and another size falls out, it leave a bit to be desired. Dedicated AN wrenches and soft jaws on a pliers wrench are my go to at this point. I was really interested in these from a leverage stand point. Good to know on the anode...most of my life was spent having to use an adjustable for anything that big, haha. I'll have to remember that since I've finally got wrenches that are sized correctly.

If 1 1/16" wrench is too large, perhaps a 26 mm wrench would fit.

Nicely done but thinking a adjustable wrench head is thicker . might work better for all 12" or 14" I would think due to thick or head Jaws haven't got set but I have an wrenches up to -16an snap-on line wrench are thicker but they might be just flawed from start most people use an vise Jaws but i do aluminum adjustable wrench just like yours too and next size up.

Thanks. Yeah it is very possible that these inserts were built around a specific set of wrenches and then tweaked to fit what they thought would cover most people's available tools. That is always hard to do, but at the same time I'm willing to understand that, several sizes just don't fit well...especially when considering how tight others are. I think the way to go is standalone AN wrenches if you use them a lot, an adjustable AN wrench to assist, and then soft jaws on a pliers wrench. Between those 3 it is hard to beat. I thought these would be really nice for leverage...your idea of a 12" or longer crescent wrench would help in that department.

Interesting idea, but anyone with a 3D printer could quickly make a similar item that would fit their existing wrenches perfectly.

If 1 3/16" wrench is too large, perhaps a 29 mm or 30 mm wrench would fit.

Good points...didn't think to try...that would be another avenue for fitment.
