CK K your messaged is spot on! Though I haven't read the book, I'm sure it's not just meant for women. But from this note to self and how she describes her book, there's no doubt, and readers have attested to this- that there is at least one passage of inspiration for anybody, everybody. In fact it sounds like if everyperson in the US read her book, you may see a drop in crime, in violence, in hate, in fear. It's more essential to have that in our heart of hearts, in our minds, our souls. Unfortunately it's lacking now, because we are seeing the opposite in the potus today. None of that is around now. It proves we are now more divided than ever, and cheeto on high has done nothing to maintain what we had-- and long for. It would be great to restore from the next president by our voting in the 2020 election.

@Kim Martin I grew up in the north. Until mid-year of third grade, we lived in the city. I remember having black friends, little girls who liked to braid my hair. And going on field trips to houses that were part of the Underground Railroad. Then we moved out to the county where there were essentially all white people, all the way through high school. I loved to read and books were my escape. When I got my first job, it was as a cashier at a convenience store right near the interstate. It was actually where I learned that I really liked people. ALL people. But one day a man came in and tried to do a "quick change" on me and actually got away with about $10 before I realized what was going on. And for almost a year, I unconsciously held what that one man did against everyone like him. Until one day when I was in college and someone made a racist comment and it made me so mad. But it also opened my eyes to how I had been holding what one person did against an entire group of people. That was so eye-opening for me. Because I realized that all people are individuals. And regardless of stereotypes or even experiences, every single person is an individual with individual beliefs and actions. So I do my best to approach life from a positive perspective, to treat people with respect (even though some of them make it very difficult), and to see the best in people. And above all, I try my hardest to follow Jesus' command to love everyone...again even though they make it hard. I've lived in the South for almost 30 years now. And I can honestly say, the south is where I have gained the most diverse group of friends (and friends I consider family). I'm sorry this is so long. God bless you and your beautiful soul. ❤️
