The collection of words, "immortal death war" just get worse and worse the more I think about it.

This is the most extreme example of a game that had to make a new, weird term for common game concepts like stats and checks that I have ever seen. Everything has to have some weird, unique term.

I think they even made up new terms for "round" or "turn". It's the most WoD game to ever WoD, which is surprising since it's not actually a WoD product.

@@EvilDoresh They made up new terms for every damn thing. It's like they wanted to be as obtuse and confusing as possible.

More than anything, I appreciate your channel for cutting through the fluff and clearly explaining the mechanics. Some ttrpgs feel like they are hiding the mechanics on purpose 🤷

There's so much batshit in this game's lore you'd probably never stop if you started in earnest. Like how _dinosaurs_ are the first immortals. They didn't go extinct, just ascended to a higher plane of existence (because of course there is at least one dedicated dimension for Immortals to hang out). Or how almost all Peri fellas were kids from the Children's Crusade. Or that the titular Invisible War is a fight over an android head that contains shards of this setting's Demiurge/Satan analogue.

How does the finokorean hyper war fit into this lore?

Damn, reading this madness in VC was a truly ascendant experience. I didn’t sleep at all that night.

This oddly reminds me a lot of another old TTRPG called 'Hidden Invasion', by Nightshift games, which tried to do what Conspiracy X did, with making a UFO conspiracy setting in the style of the X-files, but also adding in things like Highlanders and the NWO to the setting. Personally, I think Conspiracy X did it better and to be feels like it does a better job at making an X-files setting, than the actual X-files (though I will admit bias because I really hated the later seasons and the recent revival they did also got on my nerves).

I would love to know your opinion on the d6 system since it has a Kickstarter for its second edition. What do you think of tiny dungeon 2e or zoro or any of the other games they have made ?
@NotepadAnon2 ай бұрын
Never really read into them too much, TinyD6 always had its own little niche and I've never delved too far into it. Maybe I should.
@dionisiosmarinos42852 ай бұрын
@@NotepadAnon I see, thank you very much for answering, I was a bit surprised you hadn't reviewed at least one of their games but yeah if there is demand for a review I would love to see it or maybe in February when 2e drops

Imagine Highlander but it had a Spiritual Awakening in the Hookah Den and then someone in a fursuit walked in.
@oldhatAN2 ай бұрын
Not really. It has some Highlander elements but there's a lot of other esoteric shit in there. This game really piles on the esoteric shit. There's one called Legacy:War of Ages from around that time that is much more of a Highlander rpg.
