I did a budget build overlander on my TRD OFFROAD Tacoma 6 speed manual lift, hidden winch, topper, skid plate, recovery gear, method wheels and tires, cooler, ditch lights and (let's not forget the snorkel)other various items for a a fraction of what he did. I use a pop uptent that I can walk in and out of set up and breakdown 5 to 10 min. Vehicle coat me 36,000$ out the door... the extra gear? $5,000. All in about $41,000 to 42,000. Majority of the price went to quality tires ironically same tires that are on this rig. General Grabber x3. Don't get me wrong love the rig. Infact I now also have a Gladiator Rubicon ( with manual transmission) that I will also do a budget / stock plus build with.

Talk about putting the "Overloading" in Overlanding. Looking it up, the Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) for a 2021 Gladiator Rubicon is 6250 lbs. Driving at 7900 lbs puts him 1650 lbs over the rated GVWR! Crikey he's overloaded by more than the entire rated payload of 1199 lbs (all based on the C&D published specs for a 2021 Gladiator Rubicon). It might look cool, but this thing would be a wallowing pig to drive. My bet is that he's selling to fund a build using a vehicle designed to carry his desired payload.

Cross drilled rotors were originally developed by Porsche when they were running Lemans with their 917s. At the end of Mulsanne at 220+mph in 1970 the pedal would kick back because of off gassing by the pads. Cross drilling does nothing for cooling and decreasing the overall brake distances. Cross drilling results in a loss of mass and mass helps dissipate heat. Holes do very little to dissipate heat and unless they are cast in like the Porsche rotors they crack etc.

I LOVE this setup for a Jeep Gladiator Rubicon! Here's MY IDEAL Gladiator Setup: - Jeep Gladiator Rubicon with extra Skidplates, LUX package, Diesel engine and full tow package. - 37 inch Nitto Ridge Grapplers with bead lock wheel aerospace-grade all-Titanium with 7 Spokes - Fox Active Shocks Version 3.1 - Add Mishimoto performance radiator, oil and transmission fluid cooling system along with active-fan filtered multi-air scoop all-carbon fibre hood for better and faster engine cooling. - Front and Back FULL-Width All-Titanium bumpers with built-in LED fog lamps and full-size bumper-to-hood bush bars front and back with extra hump around wheel wells to allow wheels to fully turn with no rubbing. Heavy duty 16,000 lbs winches front and back with 500 feet of ultra-high strength coated Dyneema composite rope! - Upper Carbon Fibre one inch tubing front roof rack with 12 inch high rails for carrying multiple 200 litre fully weather proof neoprene-silicone drybags. - Rear Canopy that's all carbon-fibre with extra height matching the height of the front roof rack with a 24 inch high upper lockable storage box with enough room to carry portable 20 foot long by 16 foot wide by 10 foot high double-walled and double-floor 3M Thinsulate WINTER-INSULATED heavy duty ballistic nylon wall tent, inflatable kayak, collapsible 4x4 big-wheel ruggedized electric scooter, Portable Toilet tent, portable shower tent and portable hot water heater! The inflatable King size bed, inflatable couch, and portable collapsible 8 foot long table. In addition, this upper canopy lockbox would take my extra sleeping bags, super-plush king-sized quilts, expedition backpacks, extra clothing and hiking boots, fishing tackle and other camping gear. I will also remember to bring the foldable mountain bike and the portable anti-grizzly bear and anti-cougar/mountain lion electric fence to protect my vehicle and tent site! Add my huge-sized reversible thermal-foil layered Snow White and Mossy Oak camouflage super-thick and heavy duty rain-fly to protect BOTH truck and wall tent from prying eyes including against those who have thermal and optical nightvision aerial cameras! - Upper roof would have multiple 100,000 lumens bright white and infrared LED light bars pointing front, back, left, right plus angled-up-to-sky and underneath pointing to ground for extreme night-time driving and wide area survey conditions. - Upper roof would also have pointing front, back, left, right, angled upwards-to-sky and underneath down-to-ground TWIN GO-PRO camera setups with the Infrared filters REMOVED for 3D Stereoscopic nightvision. All cameras would pipe into and display (with audio) on tiled in-cabin 8K resolution OLED display so ALL viewpoints could be seen simultaneously OR touch one camera to bring it full screen at 4K+ 60 fps 3D stereo viewing. All incoming video cameras would ALSO be recorded as separate streams to TWO 20 Terabyte SSD drives at full resolution using MP4 or H.265 video and audio compression! - Inside the driver cabin, I would replace the driver and passenger seats with ergonomic Recaro Captains chairs, and then take out the rear seats for more interior storage space. The front passenger seat would slide far back into the rear area so as to SAFELY allow for the swiveling 32 inch 8K OLED display. I would also console-install my combined SDR (Software Defined Radio) box and Ruggedized Milspec 810-G/IP-69 17 inch touchscreen AMD Laptop with VHF, UHF, CB, GPRS, 3G/4G/5G cell phone extender, Shortwave, Iridium satellite radio communications mated to two external 20 foot long rugged whip antennas attached to the front hood and angled back to the roof used also as tree branch sweep-guards. This centre console attached laptop would mostly control the radios and display the real-time overlays of live GPS satellite imagery and vector map overlays so I know where I am at all times and what is coming ahead! A portable auto-following electric camera drone with one hour of battery time could fly ahead of me at 400 feet high to stream live video so I can see what's ahead and nearby on all sides. I can then find any hidden lakes and rivers for my new campsites or choose the appropriate fork in the back-country roads. - Install 32 inch 8K resolution OLED touchscreen on passenger side swivelled towards driver for ALL Thermal or Optical camera-based daytime or nightvision driving views displayed on one single screen. The passenger seat slides WAY back into the rear to safely accommodate the display. The passenger would have a pull-down/pull-out flat table with cup-holders to set their on-the-go food and coffee on or to use as a base for their laptop/tablet. - New swivel-out all-Titanium bush-bar tailgate with protection cage containing weather-protected THREE 40 lbs propane tanks, THREE 20 Gallon fresh water tanks and THREE 20 Gallon Diesel fuel Jerry Cans, and a Portable water purification and desalination system with a 400 foot hose reel so I can take in new water from the river or ocean and make it into truly clean fresh water! My multiple weather-proof fire extinguishers would also be stored there! - In the rear truck bed, I would install a pullout kitchen with installed Propane Stove, Air Fryer + Toaster Oven, Combo Panasonic Microwave and Convection Oven, InstaPot, Kitchen Sink with Hot and Cold Water dispensers plus slide-out food cutting/prep tables supported by swivel-down legs which can be pulled out easily once the tailgate is fully swivelled out! There would also be a 120 litre combo Fridge + Freezer system to store my fresh food and drink, plus the multiple 120 litre YETI coolers for maximum cool storage of my other camp food supplies. There would also be a portable lock-box containing all my EMERGENCY milspec MRE rations enough for one year of emergency rations. - I would also have a 12,000 WATT no-noise wheeled portable propane fuel-cell generator with multiple 120V/240v outlets, 12 v cigarette lighter outlets and 12v at 5 amps DC RTS pin plugs, USB 3 type A and C plugs plus a 1500 Watt wheeled portable Lithium-Ion battery pack with eight 400 watt portable flexible solar panels for battery pack charging purposes and Lots of USB and 120v outlets such as phones, tablets and laptops. These could also power my multiple 150 watt all-electric ceramic space heaters. - For internet communications, a portable Starlink satellite dish mated to a 20 inch ruggedized mil-spec 810-G/IP-69 Tablet and flexible keyboard is usable for my nighttime entertainment video-watching desires. I would also bring along an XBox and portable 4K resolution projector for my projected-onto-interior-wall-of-tent big-screen gaming and internet needs. All this gear being made out of carbon fibre and titanium would keep the weight down and be super-strong. In this above setup, I would be PERFECTLY READY AND ABLE for my 3 months far-in-the-boonies lakeside/riverside camping/fishing trips OR for my SHTF/WROL situation hiding in the backwoods faaaar away from the zombie hordes! V
