This beautiful baby has Cerebellar Hypoplasia. I had a cat just like her and she was the most affectionate baby I've ever had. It was hard to see her fall down a lot but that's all she knew and it didn't bother her. All she wanted what's some good food, a warm comfortable place to sleep and a lot of kisses and hugs.

Love this story. We fell in love with a cat that has CH a few years ago at our local animal shelter. Because of our home setup, we weren't a good fit. We wanted to do something, though. So we paid for his adoption fee so that whoever decided to take him home wouldn't have to pay a dime. I still wonder about him and hope he's doing well. Cats rule!

I'm glad he can rest when he lies down, no movement when he lies down. How exhausted he would be if the erratic movement happened all the time. He's lucky to have these great parents.

I just found a CH kitten in my back yard 5 days ago. He’s only about 4 weeks old. I’m not the right pet parent for him, but I got some help finding him a new forever home. I’m taking care of him in the meantime and it’s amazing how quickly he is learning to cope. He went from not being able to stand to being able get move quickly (but not at all gracefully) across the room in 5 days. I wish I could keep him, but he needs someone who can spend hours every day tending to his needs, and I can’t do that long term. He’ll be very happy at his new home and I know his new parents are super thrilled to meet him.

I adopt senior cats and cats with special needs. I've never come across a CH kitten but I've worked with several at shelters. Their spirit is so strong. They just push forward. Fall down, get up. I have a blind cat and he sometimes runs into the other cats when they are running around but other than that he has no difficulty navigating. Cats are so resilient. It's amazing what love can do. 💕

I just fostered a mother stray and her kittens. One of the babies has this syndrome, and he just brings me to tears.. Not because I feel bad for him. He is the sweetest, most spirited creature and so strong to not let his condition stand in his way. He is trying to live his best life and absolutely thriving ❤

There was a pair of sibling kitties at a sanctuary I volunteered at. They were so wobbly they rolled across the floor to come to you, and then stop right at your feet, and look up with these big, derpy smiles 💞 Phin is just beautiful. And he has a great buddy in Ty. Cerebellar hypoplasia is a neurological condition in which the cerebellum is smaller than usual or not completely developed. Cerebellar hypoplasia is a feature of a number of congenital (present at birth) malformation syndromes, such as Walker-Warburg syndrome (a form of muscular dystrophy. It is also associated with several inherited metabolic disorders, such as Williams syndrome, and some of the neurodegenerative disorders that begin in early childhood, such as ataxia telangiectasia.
