I've been struggling with alcohol and cocaine abuse for the last 10 years. I always struggled to find some purpose or meaning in my life. My family has a large piece of property in central Canada. My father reminded me last weekend that time is moving quickly and he and the older members in my family aren't going to be around forever, and I need to get my life together to take care of the property. This is the first time in my life I've found some genuine meaning. The desire to hang out with my delinquent friends and waste away is diminishing Finding meaning and purpose isn't some bullshit rhetoric. You need to find it and I hope all of you do. Take care guys.

Hope you can figure things out 🙏❤🙏. Jordan Peterson has said in a few places if you can be the strongest person in the room at your parents funeral and be someone people can rely on that should be our highest goal. Ive done that twice with both my mom and dad. 🙏❤🙏. Hopefully that becomes a goal you adopt as there is no greater feeling when the job is done.

@@johngallagher72 Thank you, John. I too remember that quote from Peterson, along with so many other great ones. "Compare yourself to who you were yesterday. Not other people" - One of my favorites from him I hit four weeks sober today and I feel so much better. Hitting these small milestones only makes me want achieve more. I can't wait until next summer to begin taking care of the family property.

A good life is one in which a person develops their own strengths in terms of development, realises their own potential and to pursue who they desire to become. We ourselves are responsible for our states of character, as habits and states of character emerge from the repetition of certain types of action. A person should be more concerned with their fitness to achieve their desires rather than the attainment of the desires themselves.

I wish I was able , and willing to learn from Jordan 30 years ago, my life would be completely different and better. So , I'll start now. Actually I've been studying quite hard over about a year and it has made a huge difference. He and Alan Watts. Everyday you are alive you have the opportunity to be better, don't waste a day.

And yes, I do chat the true. I did it for a long time while I was young, but I had that right for a reason and then God brought me back to life when I was young. Now I'll start 10 years old. I was dead for 22 minutes. But I don't wanna have a walk. Talk read, write all that again, but I did it for God and Jesus Christ because they save me. And I'm telling my story right now. Part of it anyways. But I'm getting tired.I'm proud.Won't finish this stuff tonight.But I'm still listening for listening for a while.That's what i'm telling you
