Most of my friends are lukewarm so called christians. I don't talk to them much anymore including my family who are the same. They can actually corrupt your life and the enemy will use them to ruin your walk with God that's the reason I stay away from them. You saved me and filled me with your SPIRIT in a prison cell in 1991 at the age of 28 having spent from the age of 13 locked up every year in care homes, institutions and prison. I was lost in drug addiction and crime. You are continually healing me from childhood trauma, physical, verbal and sexual abuse. 35+ years addicted to smoking cannabis daily. Started in early teens from family issues. Praise the Lord I'm 1 year sober, born again, new life in Christ Jesus, attending church weekly and have dedicated my life to God, repenting, praying, loving and forgiving all. 🙏 UPDATE: Please pray for me. After 14 months I relapsed. After getting 20+ PRP injections in my back and shoulder, I took a hit of cannabis to ease the pain as I don't take any meds. It did help, and it was enjoyable, and I felt inspired to read the Bible longer than I ever have. This justified using it every night for 10 days until I told myself I'm becoming addicted again. I stopped for a week, felt I had conquered it and could use it on occasion, then smoked in the evening for another week before stopping again. Jesus is enough, He fills my cup, but I'm battling an addiction and reality I've had my entire life. I'm off it again and appreciate the love and support from the Christian community God bless you.

"When I sat by that hospital bed, You were worthy". This song has literally come into my life the hour I needed it most. My wife Melanie of 5 1/2 years was killed 6 months ago after shots were fired at our home, one of which struck her while she was reading a bedtime Bible story to our 6-month-old. I now find myself a single father with two daughters (1 & 2 1/2 years old) at the age of 26. But despite the immense pain/loss I feel, I know God is good, faithful and worthy to be praised; even when I don't understand it. So instead of cursing or blaming Him, I choose to be like Job, saying "The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; Blessed be the name of the Lord". This song is beautifully written and a wonderful reminder to never stop singing His praise! I attended a fellowship and met a famous person (if you're curious, you can look up Rainey Holt Qualley on the internet). Despite the fact that I had next to nothing to my name, she put me in touch with a firm that turned out to be pivotal. I owe it to God and to this woman to express my gratitude. I'd want everyone here to help me show my appreciation to her. I talk about her often and at every available occasion. One week before my son was diagnosed with leukemia I sat and worshiped as I listened to this song. The Holy Spirit led me to pray for God to spare my two year old son. At that point there was nothing that led me to believe his life was in danger. I prayed this prayer so deep and with such conviction, like I had never prayed before. The Holy Spirit spoke to me and told me there was a problem with his white blood cells. I cried out for God, I cried out so deep. God heard. Today my son is in treatment but I thank God for saving my son, for allowing us to catch the leukemia when we did.
