I had a bad salvia trip that made me believe in solipsism 100% for years and let me tell you it was the most miserable experience of my life. Imagine feeling like nothing is real and family and friends are just figments of ur imagination and that you are the only conscious entity. It was terrible and goes along with my theory that already has scientific merit and has been well documented in eastern philosophy/spiritually that the more you inflate ur ego the more terrible you feel. I still struggle with tryna disprove to my own mind that extral world does exist beyond my perception of it and overall lean more on the scale that it does exists but still catch myself in solipsism thoughts and usually makes me feel so miserable.
I have just a question, how do we know God is everything and not in everything, these two means different things, do they believe God is everything cause he is everywhere and nothing can be outside it, is the creation are inside of God are we God? I say yes but what do you think? (; How do we know God is everything and not just In everything and being separated?❤️

I’ve used solipsism-or something like it-as a sort of antidote to nihilism. The one thing that I’m absolutely sure exists is me. The only thing that that “me” can actually *do* is to experience. I experience the world. Whether the world is real or “just in my head” does not matter here. Either way, I experience the world. I experience myself. I experience my thoughts and emotions. So I know that at least I exist, and that the act of experiencing exists. If solipsism is correct and nothing else exists, then the act of experiencing-being the only possible act-must have meaning. Therefore, nihilism is incorrect. Existence has meaning. The meaning of life *is* experience. I admit that the preceding argument is a little bit corny. I doubt anyone actually believes solipsism is literally true, no matter what they might say. But the argument works shockingly well. No matter how depressed I get, there is always something to experience. To the extent that I have free will, I can choose to guide that experience in one direction or another. But even if I have no free will at all, I can still experience. Even if I is the only noun and experience the only verb, that experience has meaning. It *is* meaning. All by itself.

Its a great moral dilemma, would you rather possibly be correct about the true nature of your state of being, Or would you rather hedge your bets and treat others as if they experience similar emotions and perceptions as you do. I think that seems to be the real tricky part of solipsism.

Under the assumption that only our own mind exists, I'd say then everything is our mind. I feel a greater sense of connection to everything since it doesn't make any sense to separate other concepts. If it helps any from my experience I can say your perception of reality may as well be reality.. I've experienced things that I'd have thought I'd need drugs to experience, because I truly believed (but you can't just make yourself believe because you wish it were true) A leap (or better, steps) of faith will bring the experience you seek to you. Look for it. Figure out that it might first be possible. Consider that you may be wrong about reality. You don't know until you know.. also.. willingness and surrender are keys.. and inspired action (as in, what "energy" are you "stepping from" is what you are "stepping into".. .. an object (you) in motion stays in motion (on your current trajectory) unless acted upon (by your awareness/attention/consciousness/choice).. if you are avoiding something you are a-void.. and voids attract things. Attention is energy. Also giving your attention to something creates some sort of attatchment/identifcation with that thing. It makes it likely for it to be a part of your "story".. like foreshadowing in a play. As you reach higher stares of consciousness you may become very much aware of things.. what they mean.. previously meaningless things you see meaning in (whether it is reality of your subconscious projecting itself onto the world idk)..

The illusion of our ego is what makes us different. The awareness that allows us to exist is all the same. I also dont believe matter is 'real'. My thought is if there is an infinte intelligence or awareness that exists we are that and this has been the best way that eternal infinite mind has found to exist and occupy itself.

The feelings are kinda paradoxal. When I believe that my first person perspective of the world is unique, and no one else has it (that they all live without the first person perspective of the world like I do), you start to wonder about 2 interlinked ideas: - Why me? Why am I so special to have such a view of the world; am I the only one to watch the world unfold, and the one to turn the world black when I close my eyes and cause the night to speed tenfold when I sleep? Is everyone else a robot? Is this a simulation? Why doesn't the night speed up when others sleep? Is everything relative to me? - If you can see the way I do, then I shouldn't be able to see this view of the world. Why don't I see 8 billion perspective at once, if everyone has a first person view and I can realise it the way I do? Again, am I special? No! I don't think so now, because of this reason. This small paradox. Unless we are all being simultaneously watched through our vision....are we being judged? Yes, I'm throwing that out into the dirt but I feel that it relates to the idea that a higher being is there to judge our actions, and views of life. It's their will whether or not that view should continue. Is this what the monotheistic religions teach? The submission to a deity higher than we can imagine? Again, this is just speculation.
@amitapurwar7602 ай бұрын
"Higher being" as you said can indeed be the speculation of our subconscious brain creating it to justify our own existence in order to comfort our brains. Also to stop it, roaming from one idea to another. Just to relax it so that it could indeed be an easier path, as humans are inherently lazy so they always get attracted to something to just relive over their existence and provide meaning to it, just in the case of higher being. The uniqueness you just talked about, well I am sure that many people had experienced as such including me, it sometimes do tend to narcissism especially when thinking it from the view of solipsism. Then again there's nothing absolute in this world, everything's relative and is full of paradoxes with which we live.

One thing about solipsism that needs to be considered is that your perspective and perceptions may be your own but physics still exist & you may perceive that you could walk from one side of the Grand Canyon straight across to the other since you can clearly see the other side and that perspective could be possibly argued but that first step may be 1000 foot plus drop off and gravity will change your reality and perspective very quickly!🤔🐔

Because of this I became very philosophical, it was a way to cope with a world that didnt make sense. I started to think this way at around 13, although I would dissociate for years before that. The thing is that even though when I'm not thinking like this I can understand that this way of thinking is counterproductive, when I fall back into it there's no way for me to pull myself out. No close friends? Nothings even real, why care. You look and feel like shit? Who cares, their thoughts are your thoughts therefore they cant hurt you. It was unhealthy but it was one of my very few coping strategies. If I'm the only real consciousness then nothing can hurt me but myself, aka controll.

I went as far as denying my self exists, something not described by "something" has to exist not in the sense of "existing" but it doesn't have to be me. I call this view soli-nihilism and it leads to death in the physical world, the only reason I haven't killed myself is because I believe in god and that there is a purpose behind the world. Gods existence probably can't be proven, but rational thought led me to the revelation that nothing can be proven and no action can be taken without belief in something one cannot prove. I gave reality itself and a purpose and meaning and I have hopefully not become a narcissist in the process, but that's not for me to judge.

Why would anyone try to teach solipsim to others when no one outside the thinker even exists? Teaching imaginary people would be stupid...like believing in solipsism.

@@sunilkumaryadav2183 It’s actually not stupid at all, to a certain extent logical but it sucks everything out of life and it’s the most defeatist philosophy

@@supreme_zeeyus thank you for the kind response, I know your right, I just... I just don't see it.... I don't believe it anymore 😔 I'm going thru a rough time, too long I don't know how to get out of here, how do you do it, live life? Is it really that simple? I just want to live, I don't want to be like this anymore.

Colour only exists in the mind, same with pitch of sound, same with temperature. Same with pain and pleasure. These things can't exist in the universe at large. Essentially all of perception is "made up" inside our minds. Even something seemingly fundamental as the experience of lightness and darkness. So the question is, what really is reality? Your mind is the paintbrush.

surely solipsism does not say the only thing that exists is our mind or thoughts. Should it not make more sense to say the only thing I'm sure exists is my mind. Saying nothing else exists is an active statement about the existence of the world but solipsism is based on not knowing what is true, right?

I like to think that no human being can objectively exist, the reason why I say that is the point where something becomes "human being" cannot actually be defined. We are subject to the same paradox as the Theseus ship.

If the information that I seem to get from my surroundings is being generated by my own mind, why am I not aware that I'm generating it? Why call it my mind if I have no knowledge of it? I have no more control of it than I do of a surrounding material world which, if it exists, is not generated by my mind. They're really the same thing. Perhaps I should continue to pretend that I'm being fooled so that the people paying for my brain's vat will continue to be amused.

You can still play the game of life but that doesn't mean that the actual you doesn't lie somewhere beyond it. And I'm not saying that other people are mere NPCs but it won't matter if they were real or not, they are real and interacting with them brings about consequences that would affect you as far as this realm is concerned. But the real you which lies beyond this realm won't be affected and it is actually not concerned with whatever happens to you in this realm. Your mind might not be your brain but your brain is still driving your body in this realm, so your emotions, ideas, misconceptions, insights, etc are all part of the game.

I just wanna say real quick, the world we live in is a very beautifully designed matrix. With the infinite possibility of other worlds and timelines, we really should be grateful that we are in this one and we have a choice to live a good life and break the chains without the anti enlightenment agents constantly trying to tear us down and use us as batteries.
