Why do the pros play Garrosh? (An Analytical look at pro play)

Garrosh is a force to be reckoned with. And a 60% win rate in pro play right now sitting with over 70% popularity.
His throws are devastating but in this video they are used in a more unique way. For damage and for safety. He still uses them to setup kills but he often tricks people into thinking he is going to throw only to taunt instead.
Hopefully you enjoyed the video and I hope it helps you understand why Garrosh is played so much in pro play and he is picked more than just to throw enemies, he is also picked to throw allies and have a stun on a low cooldown while also being nigh unkillable lategame.

Very good video. As a guy who reached Master the last two seasons using Garrosh among others, this is a very solid guide on why he is good. One thing I would like to mention though is that Unrivaled Strength at lvl 1 has uses that Warbreaker does not always provide. One example being that the talent allows Garrosh to more reliably throw Heroes over walls whether they are environmental or not. One example being on Towers of Doom where you can throw the enemy into your top lane defenses while standing close to the wall from a certain angle. Another thing Unrivaled Strength does is giving you a higher effective range to chain stun the enemy by using minions or Heroes once getting the lvl 16 talent. At lvl 20 throwing two enemies at once is extremely effective and provides some effective burst damage both for wave clearing and in team fights. As for the lvl 13 talents, I usually go Blood Craze, the reason being that it is a lot safer to land in a fight. Defensive Measures is very good, but if the enemy team starts hugging you you will not be able to proc it. You can also bait the enemy into thinking you will go down by kiting until you get your heal off. Any healing on Garrosh is effective healing, so it just makes a pretty decent self-heal more effective.

Great insights. A lot of the time in QM if we're weak on healing or wave-clear, I'll run Unrivaled Strength at 1 and then In for the Kill at 4. With this you have pocket wave-clear and healing by tossing the front minion into the back minions, then bloodthirst down all the minions. Some of the fastest wave-clear in the game and it heals you up to boot. Sometimes this can be done near a fight to top off and just keep tanking.

20:50 you can also pick In for the Kill for wave clear as it give you reset on kills, damage the minions low enough and W the whole wave.

The only problem with the E talent at lvl 1 is that the throw range is bigger, and your Q edge is the same distance as an untalented E. That menas that, without talented, you can do the E+Q combo easily, as if you had the E talent at lvl 1, you have to calculate a bit more. Excellent video, my favourite tank, by a long shot!

If you try out at try mode, with talent enemy goes to almost out of range, you hit them with edge of your skillshot. without talent is just in a safe area, so np at all. Maybe, stun an azmo would never be a problem, but a li ming or tracer with a lower body model, it can be a miss chance. And, being pros, if you have something isnt 150% safe, why? why would you let another pro player a minimum window to escape and do a play? Maybe then, when there isnt a target like that, you can go E. More damage with Q? and a dot damage? zuljin, use tazdingo, you are a dead orc! XD

In for the kill at level 4 is very important! Not only you can clear a minion wave in a matter of seconds but also it can save you from dying when you have to carry the team. I would say it is one of the most important talents.

One thing worth mentioning: Blaze+Garrosh is one of the most common and scariest duos as Blaze can throw oil from a distance slowing someone enough for Garrosh to walk up and get a throw.

This is a video from an older patch, since the level 7 brute force (body check) talent is still there. Knowing that body check at level 1 has the reduced healing now, what you think about it? Is it good enough now to take it? Lets say vs a malthael for example.

VArsovski10 untalented, his throw's max range is the same as the stun range on groundbreaker. There's no reason to take the longer throw.
