Mick Foley on Sam Roberts Wrestling Podcast- Ambrose, Rollins, Santa, Bleeding, etc

In 1999, I saw Mick Foley, Steve Austin, & Jerry Lawler leaving Rupp Arena in Lexington, KY. We were walking down this hallway to the parking lot after RAW, and we passed them going the other way and we didn't realize who it was. When I turned around, my 12 year old brain was in overload from this event so all I could say was, "Stone Cold!!" He turned and looked at me and put his arm up, in typical Stone Cold fashion. I honestly probably could've got an autograph from all three of them, because they all turned around; but me & my sister just kept walking. It seemed like they were in a hurry to leave the arena. I was in full-on "mark" mode, of course. I don't know if they traveled together at that time, but it was one of the coolest moments of my life. Something I'll always remember.

That's so funny, I actually gave my girlfriend "Have a Nice Day" to help her "get" Wrestling. Now shes a huge fan and LOVES Mick. We have seen him live twice, have signed books, shirts and even a hand drawn Socko.

Mick was supposed to wrestle at a highway to hell house show in the main event, long island of allll places. Guess he just wanted to spend the day with family so I think Kane replaced him....still sucks the one live event I went to I missed my second favorite wrestler. Second only to Bret Hart.

I always leave out the fact I met the undertaker and the catch was you had to buy tickets to the show....missing mick wrestle is more important than meeting taker as an 8 year old. Still have the Polaroid somewhere. Still have the ticket stubs even tho the ink is worn out and can't read most of it any more
