I enjoyed Marks title run. He played the monster heel very well.

Mark had some great moments in the latter stages of his career. His fake retirement speech was amazing. The Hall of Pain stuff as World Champion was his best run in the company (shame it got cut due to injury). Even his ECW title run was decent, it was kind of like a precursor to the Hall of Pain run, you got to see what he could do as the top monster on a smaller brand.

I love mark henry he fooled the hell out of me with that retirement speech I thought he was gonna become wwe champion but then of course I guess he doesnt fit vince mcmahons "Look" almost 20 years in the business and only 2 world title reins well one if you dont wanna count ecw championship but in a big corporate business like wwe I guess an african american cant be wwe champion they always get the 2nd class titles Mark henry r truth kofi kingston big e booker t etc. all of them should have been wwe champion and for vince to go on austins podcast and say that they have a lack of ambition is total bullshit and the brass ring is bullshit all they do is show up to work but instead they do the same matches everyweek and wonder why wwe is going down the drain he uses about 10% of the main roster put I gaurantee if you put the title on an african american the people will start watching because its something different and they wouldnt believe it all of them get good crowd reactions except kofi and big e now because of the steryotype gimmick they have as a fucking gosspal group shucking and jiving like black people do at church and then they have them debut on black friday come on now that is no coincidence give them back their regular gimmick they will get bigger pops than they do now

TheSupinesmokey13 I understand that they have the same history but somehow in my eyes the wwe title became more valuable than the heavyweight title because it was like who ever held the wwe title was the face of the company besides cena who will be face of company with the title or not but it seemed as if a new wwe champion would get better aknowledgement than the heavyweight champion after a while in my opinion I feel as if nobody really cared for the heavyweight title despite the history behind it and thats why they combined them instead of having one title on each show but they had them on raw mainly

I disagree completely, and that's you problem you focused too much on the 'face of the company'.there is nothing wrong with being the top guy nothing everyone it cut out to be the face of the company Mark wanted a main event run not to be the top guy. And everyone who engaged themselves in meaning feuds elevated themselves by being world heavyweight champion . Randy orton isn't the face of wwe neither was del rio but they were viewed as top guys the same thing with Batista he wasnt No 1 outright but he was main event. Triple HHH said it best the man makes the championship not the other way around. when your given that title it means the company looks at you as a top guy representative of the company if the title appeared secondary it was the fault of that holder. i'd say the only guy who really slacked as champ in recent times was swagger. because just about everyone who had the title was elevated by it had meaningful storylines. i never saw if that way batista's 05-06 run was incredible him and taker delivered a great rivalry over the best , same thing with edge , Daniel bryan was an awesome heel champion. the first ever elimination chamber match was for the world title. triple hhh's run as world champion when he was first given the belt in 2002 . cm punk vs jeff hardy. punk vs taker. swagger was the only guy who got a decent run as champ that didn't do the title justice . that title has been part of so many top notch feuds that i can't see it as secondary. s
