Also another interesting this is that BTS were basically the only group under bighit. That means that they took an almost bankrupt label, and put in that grind to reach stardom. Since bighit was small and didn't have much influence like the big 3(YG, JYP, and SM) BTS often couldn't get media slots and they wouldn't get invites to awards shows or be shown on broadcast. Fun fact: the first time they were invited to the Busan Music Festival, Namjoon got injured so he couldn't perform. In response, the organizers of the event cancelled their performance without telling bts, but then bts performed anyways (because Armys were waiting for them) after the show was over, the lights were off, and there was confetti already on the stage Edit: I got it mixed up with mamas, but we could also talk about how mama didn't invite bts to their award show even though they were nominated for rookie of the year

i think kpop is not only bts and thats fr the tea there are so many other groups that are talented and i can say even more talented. yes bts is good they can sing and dance and stuff but i think as an army myself that some of the fans are a bit to much hyped about them.. no hate fr i love their songs but like there are soo many groups and i think its not bad to also try something new. Look at exo, they are a great. Look at Seventeen they are great too every group is good at their own way. BTS is far away from being the best group of kpop in history. I have so much respect for them yes they have gotton far but the top is high. the thinki am trying to say is would you please also react to other idols, if you had reacted to them and you won't like them or something then i would respect that. its never bad to try something new. You know whats the most saddest thing, bts fans are so big that some of them are getting aggresive against other idols sending hate/ death threats and stuff and that all for music.. music should make people happy and stuff and i don't think that idols would like that their fans are getting rude. You need to respect other idols aswell even if you don't like their music. If i read these comments i feel disgusted alright bts is great and talented but these comments are to much. love ur reactions but try other things.

I saw another comment recommending bby gang - I second that one too. That channel goes into the stereotypes and frankly: racism, korean musicians are treated with in western media. ''You are wrong about k-pop'' or ''bts and the coronavirus tweet''. Western media tends to overemphazise the corporate side or scandals of korean pop, îpnoring that it's just the same as in america, generalizing all the negative things while this is never done with US-pop. For example just because one US-pop act pissed on girls wouldn't mean that The Weeknd pissed on girls just because both are US american and make popular music. Or just because the Disney factory and Motown mistreated artists doesnt mean all US artists are mistreated etc. Often enough this essentialist generalisation is done to koreans though. The underlying reason for that is xenophobia, protectionism and sadly, racism.

Seo taiji (the founding father of kpop) even said HIMSELF that he’s passing the torch to BTS 😃. Legends.

Can you react to EXO, they were mentioned as being one of the most influential groups in 3rd generation kpop in this video, they are known as the vocal kings of kpop, I recommend their songs Tempo and Obsession, although South Korea has mandatory military service and 2 of the members weren’t present due to that in the Obsession music video

Hundreds of groups debut every year, only a handful survive past a couple of years... BTS debuted in 2013 and struggled to get known in their native S. Korea, they were horribly bullied by the entertainment industry! Most S. Koreans didn't know BTS until they begin getting attention in the West. In fact, some thought BTS was an American group!

I mean, really don't take it badly, but you speak way too much. I'm pretty sure you didn't even hear half of this video.

I love Rain, Big Bang and BTOB are amazing! Also JYP is a company that plays favour. They treated GOT7 like crap. GOT7 are no longer part of JYP. Their 7 year contract ended Nu'est, Seventeen and GFriend are part of Bighit now. Tbh I prefer to watch Korean TV shows, because their camera work are the best.
