So, on the subject of Claudia's relationship with Callum my theory is that she sees him less as a romantic interest and more as a little brother. She cares about him a lot even if she may not want to get with him. That's why she put up that ruse for so long but stopped short of kissing him, not wanting to lead him on. That's the thing about Claudia, she cares very deeply about her friends and family to the point where she'll go to extreme lengths for them. I won't say more because then we'd be getting into spoilers. Also, most people might not think about this but just for the record, Callum is 14 (going on 15) and Claudia is currently 17. Now, I know there's a debate as to whether or not that age difference matters but to me, I think that gap in maturity is also a factor.

I think that they would be a pair where romantic feelings would develop over time as a deep affection if not a passionate romance. She likes the fact that he likes her quirky traits where others are turned away. In a medieval kingdom setting I could see them getting together in an arranged but happy marriage. She’s going to succeed her dad as high mage. Callum may not be in line for the throne but as Ezran’s brother he’ll be an important advisor to the future king. Of course that all supposes that things between them don’t go sideways. 😳🫥🫡 Also I think that she’s actually 16 at the start of the show. Two years younger than Soren.

I think the unique thing about Claudia is that typically when writers want you to like a character they focus on making them nice, but with Claudia they decided to focus on making her fun. Being nice is something you do with strangers just as a formality but being fun is something you usually save for friends and family so it makes it really easy to get attached to her.

Yes, Claudia is meant to be a conflicting character. So is Viren. Soren is meant to be more naive. Claudia was raised to think Dark Magic is the best course of action, but also knows to treat the creatures she kills with respect. It's the least she CAN do. Over time, her viewpoint changes. One of the best things about this show is everyone is on a spectrum. There's terrible, if you know you know, and there's paragons of goodness, Ezran. Everyone else is somewhere in the middle, while their decisions take them one way or the other. The great strength of the show is showing how the characters deal with the hard decisions and how the circumstances and people around them influence those choices.

I think when Claudia is talking about humans and dark magic, her implication is that dark magic allowed humans to do things the elves and dragons can do to strengthen their civilization. I honestly think that, whether Claudia is evil or not I won’t give anything away, is such an interesting character. Like I love her naive wickedness, how she is too manipulated by her fathers lessons to see the immorality of certain things, I think it’s so fascinating to watch. But I’m more into characters based off their complexity, not how morally “good” they are (not to say they cant be both), so idk
