Lucas is the same age as Mark, so he initially thought he would be put in NCT Dream too. And since he’s a lot taller than the rest of the Dreamies, he calls himself a tree. :)) NCT is a very active group in terms of uploading KZbin videos, so you’ve got plenty of content to see on their official pages.

I think NCT became a more complicated concept than they initially anticipated. Like the idea of it from a marketing standpoint makes sense, have a group with an infinite number of members that promotes in various smaller units. And it makes sense for NCT Dream to have a graduation system, to have only teenagers so they can show a more youthful fresh style compared to the rest of NCT and it would be a great group to introduce new members when the time came. Like, it's not a bad idea on paper. But I think in reality, it's a lot more complicated than that. There's more to creating a group than just "filling in" a group with more guys. You have to make sure they look, sound, and perform good together, make sure the dynamic is good, and each member brings something in to the group. And as a result, I think SM Entertainment wasn't debuting units and members as quickly as they initially planned and that's why NCT Dream almost ended up as a 2 person unit. BUT I don't think they anticipated how much fans would come to love OT7 Dream and want the members together. And it makes sense, NCT Dream is a very solid group as is. They work well together, get along well, and it's a very balanced group. So ultimately SM made the right choice to do away with the graduation concept and keep the group together.

I think sm might have initially thought of doing something like akb48 where members graduate and the fact that they were initially going to do a voting system for nct 2020 was also very similar to how akb48 has a voting system

The graduation concept was just cruel because the dreamies grew up together and are like a family so it's been hard for them when Mark graduated. They all broke down and cried on their concert at the end of 2019 because they fought this would be their last concert ever

Yesss, always glad for more NCT! This guide was called take two because it's their 2nd guide on the Dreamies because of the updates needed btw. The Dreamies are a lot of fun, they're so hardworking and have great chemistry. You're actually not doing too bad, considering you've just started learning them! I can't wait for the album reaction on Patreon and more reactions. NCT Dream have a few pits of content already from their Hot Sauce promotions that might interest you like their Prison Interview and Question Parade on Hello82. There's also some live performances from their comeback showcases this morning and a Studio Choom choreohraphy video coming soon! Also NCT in general has a lot of interesting shows to check out, for example NCT 2018 (all 18 members at the time) went on Weekly Idol and that's a fun episode for sure.

here's how it is: the graduation thing was a really cool concept on paper but SM, being just another capitalist company, didn't think about the members' feelings and how the fans would feel knowing that their favorite group is "temporary". so yeah, they really didn't think this through

Haechan became my bias the second I heard his voice. For a second I didn't care about personality, it was just the voice. His personality secured him the bias spot in the end.

Glad you reacted to NCT Dream! They are my favorite unit! Love their discography and them as a team. I can't decide yet really, well NCT as a whole is just the best. Check out their new album too! Actually the concept of graduating was to introduce new members to the nct brand but if u followed dream since the begging no one liked the concept after mark graduated and fans send constantly petitions for sm to end the graduation system lol
