This hidden little lake I found must have been the spot back in the day

I went metal detecting at a spot two miles of a hike out into the woods and it was awesome. I was looking at old phots from the 1940's showing this area as being pretty open with a lot of sand around this body of water. Well fast forward to now and the forest has overgrown itself right up to the edges of the water. It is beautiful out here and it was a long walk of expiring but that is what you do if you want to find old places. I did a bit of coin shooting around the shore with my Fisher F19 and found some coins and hit the trail again. I made my way down to the old abandoned road and over to a cellar hole. This spot has been deserted since the late 1800s and I got lucky with a nice relic find. Metal detecting old places , relic hunting, exploring and adventure all in one day.
