Hi, Sushi Dai from what I've read on reddit will be moving to Toyosu Market! But will remain at Tsukiji through at least feburary 2017 I think. When we went to Sushi Dai, the move already started but not for the restaurants. Hopefully that helps! Sorry! but thanks for watching the video

Hmm, Since the sushi Dai isn't a highest classed sushi shop, I don't know why the shop so popular for foreigners? Is it mean that sushi you eat outside Japan is pretty bad taste? For me who was born and raised in Japan, this sushi shop is just a standard classed (but traditional style) sushi shop.

mPD780C1 hey Some of the sushi I get back home isn't that great in comparison to Japan surprisingly. That's why I was amazed by it! Also the style of sushi is different in Canada as well.

I think its the cost performance of the shop and all the tourist hyping it up. Honestly, its not the highest quality sushi you can get, but at its price and the quality it offers, its pretty unbeatable. Another reason for the line is because the size of the shop and its system. They allow a group of, I think 12 to 14, people go in and seat at the same time and the chef will make the sushi piece by piece and serve the customers one after another. So even though you can eat really fast, you cannot just chuck it down you throat and leave because you have to wait for the chef to finish serving the last customer of the group so then he can prepare the next piece (assuming almost everybody order the omakase). At the end, everybody leave almost at the same time. In average, each group of 12 to 14 customer will take about 35 to 45 minutes to finish their omakase thats why the line is so damn long.

We just came back from Tsukiji last week and saw that line (for Sushi Dai) and said heck no! haha We ended up a couple doors down from Dai, no wait and got seated right away. Granted it was midweek around 9am. Maybe we'll bite the bullet and wait in line next time we're in Tsukiji, the sushi looked tasty! Great vlog! Subscribing!

If I remember correctly, it was about 50 dollars US for the meal set we had that comes with 12 rolls. There was another option that comes with 8 and was much less
