Bucking getting it done 👍he's the right guy for the task at hand. His work speaks for himself, humble, thoughtful, clean, and most of all safe from his cuts to his layout of the wood. So now Daryl can rest easy at night knowing it's handed and taken care of right much love Bucking and Daryl and to all the volunteers who came together out there and took care of business and his family.

Well done Brother Buckin!...This gnarly type of mess reminds me of parts of my property...nasty and dangerous! We drove over to Squilax in the Shuswap Region last weekend and the Little Shuswap Indian Band Territory was all burned up last year, lots of the homes, including the elders, were burned to the foundation. I was pleased to see how resourceful and motivated the good folks out there are though, they have already stared to reconstruct several homes and to clear lots of burned dead standing. Qua'aout Lodge Hotel burned down three years ago, I have many good memories of working with the folks over there, thankfully the beautiful conference and training rooms were left intact and the Jack Sams restaurant is still serving wonderful food.

I'm in SW Missouri and am currently cleaning up after the last tornado, just helping neighbors out for gas and oil. Not any building damage from tornado but a bit from falling trees. I'm retired but lol but have about 4 or 5 weeks of downed trees, all mishmashed big oak, 24" to 48" in diameter, some maple but it tore the heck out of the beautiful old oaks around. Thousands. Just from a little f1 or f2 tornado. So much tension on the limbs and trunks you gotta be careful. This is the 5th or 6th ive worked.

Awesome job buckin! You are absolutely right about cutting small wood. Its hairy, especially in blown down patches when they get tagged up with each other and cutting the hinge to a clever in order for it to go. Birch trees are bad for that. Keep the videos coming and keep up the good work gentlemen!

Hi buckin you are a champion of champion's keep up the great work and stay safe out there. I wish I didn't live in a city id rather live in a beautiful wooded area like you and some day I will be if my business will start making money sofar it is costing more to run than i have made . I have spent $22,000 on tool and lumber and another $4500 on marketing and i am starting to realize the woodworking market is flooded with to many Chinese imported trash that is selling for way less than can even make the stuff for. I think I should have started a small concrete removal replacement company it seems to be way less competition in that industry so i might just try it instead i love the outdoors more than I like being indoors

I can see where a long bar comes in handy in this mess. But unless you have some time and experience with it chance are you're going get hurt. You may have years of experience doing this kind of work with a 18 or 20 inch bar, but this mess is a different animal. I'm sure Daryl is struggling with how to thank you guys. Wish I was closer to this disaster to help. I'm sure there's many of viewers watching this and wishing they could grab their saw and run out the door to help. I mean what are the odds of Daryl winning this saw and hooking up with Billy Ray 👍

The past year we have had a series of extremely powerful wind and rain storms here on the North East Coast. They have caused widespread tree damage with dangerous blow down patches as you are working here. Tension and overhead snags with these trees is very dangerous and please everyone be VERY careful cutting felling and clearing in these areas 🌳 I have run saws for 3 decades and was well bruised up from a miscalculated tree in this type setup.

Question for anyone that knows the answer...is it true that logs that have been burned in a forest fire cant be milled into boards? If it is true, is that because all of the sap is heated and moved down to rhe stump, so theres no sap holding the fibres together? Thanks everyone :)
