It’s puzzling why people can’t embrace Novak Djokovic… I think it had to do with the comfortable place fans found themselves in with respect to the Roger versus RAFA years and one more cook just spoiled the broth for some…simply uncomfortable with the torch being passed…and maybe it made even more difficult because he was so very talented & successful. It just didn’t sit well… & it seemed people would look for anything negative about him in order to embolden their hatred of him … And it’s funny because if you think about it, Roger and RAFA, I think I’ve always had respect for Novak Djokovic. It’s too bad fans, giving him a hard time can’t follow the path of their beloved Tennis, duo. And Beyond his obvious Tennis prowess ….if you can’t make room in your heart for him for that reason, you should definitely consider this… Can you not remember the early days for this young man?…was gasping for air at the baseline and remember thinking there’s something genuinely wrong …he’s so young, but he cannot get a breath…and he would have to retire… Then he turned his life around with incredible dedication to diet and fitness. Having faced illness in my own family…I can tell you that this should absolutely be part of his legacy…. his commitment and his example of turning his life around with the care he takes with his diet and fitness regimen… Maybe even more so diet. There are absolute links to certain food stuffs making us sick in particular in the realm of auto immune disease …do yourself a favor re-examine Novak Djokovic look at him with fresh eyes and do try to respect this man for all he has Accomplished in the sport of tennis, but also as the example he offers to everyone for better health, and a better life

Yes it was Roddick many years ago who ridiculed Novak for his ohysical problems, before Nole was diagnosed with allergoes & changed his diet. As yy say, the media ran with the anti-Nole storyline which has survived to this day. Have hated AR & been amazed by NJ ever since. I have his book, which explains his health journey.
