He is the greatest athlete of all time even including team sports. It is way harder to compare obviously, but simply you can watch some players and you can see how great they are. I watched a bunch of Jordan's moments, I watched Messi in football, I watched Ronaldo, Ali... I haven't watched soo much Michael Phelps, but when I look at all playersthat I watched, Djokovic is the greatest athlete I've ever seen considering the fact how much he acomplished in his career, considering the fact that he played against other 2 greatest players in his sport and probably Alcaraz would be top 4 when he finishes his career soo competition that he faced was insanee, than I look at his mindset, his mentality which is for me greater than Jordan's and Kobe, but he is Serbian and nobody wants to talk about it, he plays whole career against opponents and crowd, than consider the fact that people actually robbed him for winning possibly 2 or 3 more grand slams, 3 more masters at worse, if he wasn't susspended for multiple events there is really big chance that right now he would be 20 weeks more at number 1 and simply despite of all thesr things... He still is easily the most acomplished player in his sport. Well that's something from another universe for me.

Every sport is different, in that aspect I agree, but you can definitely compare mental strenght, longevity, prime, consistency, competition and all that stuff. Messi is phenomenal football player, magician, with all due respect, I don't know if there is a man on this Earth that would put Messi in top 7 toughest athlete ls mentally. Literally Messi is known for many things, but not for mentality. Michael Jordan is by many people the greatest athlete of all time because of what he did outside of basketball and the influence that he has, but... If we look at his career, Djokovic has more impressive career than Jordan. Jordan won 6 titles in NBA, he was 5 times MVP, he was 10 times scoring champion, 9 times defensive first team, 14 all stars and played total of 15 seasons in NBA. Djokovic played probably 18 seasons as a proffesional tennis player and he won 24 grand slams, he finished 8 years as the the best ranked player in the world (that's like 8 MVPs in basketball and consider the fact that corruption didn't allowed him to compete at Australia Open, Wimbledon didn't took place in 2020 because of corona and without Federer and Nadal, Djokovic was easily favourite in that your, than he was disqualified from US Open because unintentionally hit the reff, but if he could play at Australia Open he would finish 2022 also as world number 1 soo it's literally 8 with *). He won 40 masters titles, most of all time, 7 Nitto ATP finals tours, also most of all time, he has 428 weeks at number one surpasing the previous record from Roger who had 310 weeks at number one, he won every single tournoment in his sport. NOT JUST THAT, IF HE DIDN'T MISS THOSE 4 GRAND SLAMS AND COUPLE OF MASTERS EVENTS BECAUSE OF COVID HE WOULD REALISTICLY HAVE 2-3 GRAND SLAMS MORE RIGHT NOW and I don't think with 26 grand slams at 37 years of age someone would take Jordan over Djokovic. Jordan didn't have pandemic or anything similat in his sport, he could play every single season that he wanted and he didn't played against the top 3 greatest players of all time for majority of his career, DJOKOVIC ACOMPLISHED ALL THAT WHILE PLAYING IN TOUGHEST ERA OF TENNIS. He faced numerous times Federer, Nadal and right now Alcaraz, all of them will be in top 5 when they finish their careers and even Sinner has a chance to become one of top 10 greatest tennis players ever. Literally before Djokovic, Federer was considered as one of thw greatest athletes of all time, many people compared him to Jordan, he was foe many Jordan in tennis and that's true, because Djokovic is even greater athlete in his sport than Jordan. I would take Jordan over Federer definitely, but Jordan is closer to Federer than he is to Djokovic...
