Oh, I needed this one. We still haven't had a frost and still don't have one on the forecast. I still have a few cherry tomato and pepper plants limping along. Which is not helping the procrastination. I am in trial this week, but with the state of the country, I want nothing more than to pull plants and put down compost.

Just watched this post- US election. Sadly the result is horrific (in my opinion 💙). Frightening for us here and the entire world, really. Much happier to be considering what comes next in our gardens, than what happens next politically. Thanks for your videos . Big fan!

the good thing about gardening is that it shrinks our perspective to something we can make a real difference to quickly rather than leaving us feeling overwhelmed by world events over which we have little control x

Georgie you do make me laugh, even when you're being serious! You just have that way about you. You talk such a lot of sense too. I've been toying with the idea of planting trees. We live on a very windy site and need a windbreak or two. As for the tools, I totally agree with you. I'm 5ft 2ins also and find large tools very difficult and tiring. xx

I’ve had some very inferior peat free compost…it seems it’s now an excuse to sell inferior potting compost….full of weed seed….I suddenly got bind weed after tipping out compost from pots on the flower beds.l We need a decent quality compost….

we do need decent compost - but i do think we should give the compost makers time to catch up with demand too x

Hi Georgie, I often use vermiculite over the seeds, it's not heavy on their little heads and roots , the seeds keep moisture, heat and light and I think they enjoy 😉💚🌱💚

yes good idea - though I find if it's for long periods of time the vermiculite can get a bit green and mouldy so I tend not to use it especially in winter x

We had a similar situation in the UK with Brexit - please make sure to reach out to the opposite side and find the many things you have in common in order to go forward together as neighbours and friends. I have friends who still don't speak to each other years since the Brexit referendum x
