My husband Paul wrote this song two days after I miscarried. Tony Myles made an absolutely breathtaking video. It was a huge honor that Anni sang (I adore her) Rachel's haunting violin. My upmost love and gratitude to Larry for his beautiful guitar playing

Made me cry so bad...this is what makes metal music so unique...makes us face the cruel reality of what happened to others and could happend to us...we´re all part of humanity and we build it everyday, trought storms and light

I can relate, my wife and I had two miscarriages, I never understood that kind of pain until it happened to us. It's so heartbreaking. Thank you Paul for expressing this so vividly, beautifully. Watching this was cathartic. From the deepest part of me, I am sorry for your loss.

This song saved my life. I left my job in 2012 due to the immense amount of stress that I was under from not only it but from my fiance, who suddenly refused to talk to me after she revealed to me that she was pregnant. She didn't contact me until she lost it. Needless to say, I was beyond distraught. This song brought me back from the brink. Thank you.

Discovered this song in the middle of a severe depression episode,i can't explain with words how badly i cried for days while listening to this song. Letting all my repressed emotions out,always tried to be strong,chill,quiet until i couldn't bear it no more. Cried so badly that weekend...still think about her but in a good way. We will never be together again,no, and i always rejected your friendship and never allowed you to talk to me or manipulate me again,no...but i will always have you inside my heart to some extent, Cari.

There's no easy way to see it disappear* Always dreaming of what could have been Who will be there to hold you As the morning light breaks We long to be there for you And we can only hope you knew Deeper scars then any wound could be Cold is the way, and it will never leave The great healer, was our deceiver It's hard to close my eyes in the dark We'll never know what could have been As we try to understand this We miss so much, what we never knew As we carry on without you When the rain begins to fall We protect pure innocence Empty arms, we're changed forever When two hearts break together Deeper scars then any wound could be Cold is the way, and it will never leave The great healer, was our deceiver It's hard to close my eyes in the dark We'll never know what could have been As we try to understand this We miss so much, what we never knew As we carry on without you When the rain begins to fall We protect pure innocence Empty arms, we're changed forever When two hearts break together

How can a beautiful song come from such a tragedy?
@maximilianaurea71017 жыл бұрын
'Tis tragedy and misery which spawn the deepest beauty of our Human condition. In our scars, we tell the stories of what was, what is, and what should have been. It is that pain which drives Mankind's artistic impetus most deeply, spurned from the depths of sorrow, to enshroud our hopes and give worth to all that remains. In loss, we come to love what is left.
