It's 2023 and I had stumbled upon this band through a suggestion on Amazon Music. Started listening to the album and really liked it and became an instant fan. I then did some research into the band and found out the sad news about Aleah. She was such a Beautiful girl with an amazing voice! I got choked up reading the news but this is proof her music lives on, even in 2023 she is still gaining new fans and her music is still touching peoples lives. R.I.P. Aleah I wish you had more time on this earth but you left us with beautiful music that will live on forever!

LYRICS: To know her is to see That nothing is as it seems She'll show her true face when you're Stripped of all belief Sweet tyrant, laying out the course with what you need To send you through the veils Of Eternity Crack me open or I'll go down On this sinking ship, don't leave Me to drown Still the water bears the sound Of my eternal plea And all I found And all I will She calls you with a mirage Of what you want to see You fall into her arms As she shatters all your dreams Sweet violence, aimed to crack the shell from which you bleed And send you through the tree of Eternity Crack me open or I'll go down On this sinking ship, don't leave Me to drown Still the water bears the sound Of my eternal plea And all I found And all I will

Its hard to explain but I have listened to this band and Hour of the Nightingale album in the darkest and blackest days of my life when I had a big depression and wanted to die. That time I totaly understood the album, and I love it all, every note every harmony. And yes, I felt this album was writted as like about myself so it was kind of the soundtrack of my life. Since my life became a little bit more happier I dont wanna dive into those dark feelings but I still feel that its the greatest album ever! It depends on personality, on those things which are in the persons head and heart. Some people listen to the music about sex, drugs and parties in the night clubs and this is their lever of evolution, they will never understand such type of music. But other people need something deep, emotional, and this music will sound in unison with the music of their hearts

It's hauntingly beautiful but really brings out sadness, at least for me. Certainly couldn't listen to it every day. Listening to Red Hot Chilli Peppers and trip hop helps lift my mood. Something up beat and funky. You may want to check out Lethian Dreams and Aggaloch if you haven't already though, similar style to Trees of Eternity and beautiful music. Aggaloch is less depressive I find. There's plenty of good music that's less depressing too. Depends on the person of course in how they react but I'd feel it could be a bad idea to just listening to this if down, despite its beauty.

For anyone that chronically feels melancholic, I want to share my story: I've been listening for most of my life to gothic/symphonic metal and I always felt down. But the music always resonated with my feelings in a very cathartic way. Like it was echoing something within me. Unrelated to that I've started watching VODs of a streamer who used upbeat dubstep for his background. At first I didn't care, but later, as with all repeated things, i got used to it and started liking it. Later I've switched to primarily listening to dubstep and... I've started noticing that my overall mood improved and hypothesized that it was because of the music. At some point later, I've tested my theory by listening to ToE when I felt a wave of loneliness. And it all came back to me... The shear realization of how hopeless it all is... The best description would be a black water. Deep, silky smooth, black lake. It's chilly but not freezing. Uncaring. Void. But not vast and open. More like a thick fog. Surrounding, hugging. Anyway... Sample size of one isn't a sample size at all. But I've wanted to share this anecdotal evidence. If you're prone to melancholy, don't put yourself in an echo chamber. Great musicians put their feelings into their music. Don't surround yourself with someone else's sorrow. You have plenty of your own. Now I largely avoid, for a lack of a better word, sad songs and mostly feel nothing. Which is decidedly better. Go listen to Endless Forms Most Beautiful by Nightwish maybe. It put me in a good mood a couple of times. (Avoid Dark Passion Play... ) RIP Aleah.

Truly a beautiful soul who left an amazing legacy in such a short life. She and the musicians that wrote this masterpiece will live on much longer. Rest easy sweet voice. You touched my heart, in ways you couldn't imagine while occupying this mortal life.

If she was not so stunningly beautiful & talented would we mourn her any less ? 🤔 Every death is tragic ; we should always love each other with conviction in the present , for we don’t know when the end shall come 🖤

This is why album art/covers are important, I would've never clicked and listened to this if it wasn't for the cool as hell art. Plus, in a way, it enhances the experience and gives you an idea of the mood and world the music is telling.

Aleah, beautiful nightingale sister, every day you inspire me. The way you sang of such dark things in an uplifting soothing way and from your purest heart. Your legacy lives on through your formidable musical spirit, Love you eternally, goddess of white light. :( RIP Aleah.

From the first note I heard, I knew....I stumbled across an amazing band. And so I shared their work with everyone that listens to stuff like this. Everybody loved the Voice.... the lyrics... Music.. I could not await to get the Album... What can I say.. I do not have words for something like this...So I listen in silence, she will be remembered...
