One of the few that has met a good filpina in the US, she was here a year or so before we met. She was raised baptist Christian not catholic and she is so much more grounded than most of her filpina friends in the US. Married now 13 years. Alot of filpina say they are "Christian" but its in name only..actions say otherwise from what ive seen with her other filpina friends.

Replay was great. I never make the livestream but this particular episode gave me pause and most importantly encouragement. I've watched you from the beginning and have put off moving to the east. My family is tired of me talking about it so I'm going to block one year from today to prepare to move. I've said it before you and Crissey (sp?) have great chemistry but I would like to see you and Bald again after he's done with Africa. And maybe not riding forever in the Vietnam rain squalls too. ❤ Keep going! Have a blessed day! 🤙

I thought Hawaii was massively overrated and way too expensive. A lot of people actually leave Hawaii for places like Vegas. Native Hawaiians are some of the rudest people I've ever met. I don't think anyone outside of a customer service capacity ever smiled or was pleasant with me. But they also feel kind of beaten down with the price of everything so I don't think happiness is in big supply there these days despite the beauty. The Japanese and Filipinos are perfectly nice in Hawaii so if you can get in with a community of those people it makes it more tolerable.

Great live Tim. I didn't realize how screwed up things are here in the US until I started looking outside the country. Found a video about someone retiring in the Philippines and went down the rabbit hole. At this point My plan is to find a way to retire out of the country early. There's really nothing for me here anymore. Money has destroyed the things I'm interested in and I won't date the women here. I legit feel bad for the women here that would make good wives and have difficulty finding someone but like many men here I just can't take the chance of things going bad. A lot of the women here who are wife material get married quick but being 40 and looking around I can see why the leftover women my age aren't married.

Tim. USA has changed so much during the past 12 years. So many angry, politically aggressive and unhappy people. The economy has destroyed the country. $35 Trillion dollars in Debt, huge inflation, supporting wars and interest rates. It is so sad and that is what I am looking at Videos on the Philippines, Malaysia, Thailand and even Vietnam.

I dated the Filipino-American sister of a friend growing up right before she went to college. She came to the US at 6 years old. Their mother maintained some culture from back home. Foods, etc, but she was definitely American. I actually took her back to the Philippines when we dated, my first time there, and she at times had culture shock. This was 20+ years ago though. The PH was less developed but honestly I've never had any culture shock. At times I might feel out of place but I also felt that in Paris the first time I was there many years ago.

Did Regular Guy say he spends $2k/month? I follow another guy who lives in Malaybalay and spends $1k/month. Decent rental, eats every meal in a restaurant. But of course he's single, doesn't own a car, etc. He lives a comfortable life on his own terms. Travels a bit. But I think for a lot of us once you pay off a house in the US, the heavy lifting is done. I paid mine of 3 years ago and so my housing cost is $4500/year with insurance. Upkeep doesn't cost much. I mow the lawn, etc. For someone like me to move to the PH wouldn't even be a lateral move. It would likely cost me significantly more to have anywhere near the same lifestyle I do living on Lake Michigan. The winters are terrible but if you're within 2-3 miles of the lake the summers are like Southern California for a fraction of the price. That big, cold body of water keeps the temps in the 70-80F range all summer.
