I was actually using it last night in bed with the app called BIG SCREEN and there’s an environment in a bedroom where the video screen is on the ceiling of your bed and when you physically lie down, you actually see the screen on your ceiling inside the virtual world. It’s amazing for all you mentioned like KZbin, Netflix, browsing or all at once with multiple windows lmao

Very impressed with the pricing of this to gateway into VR territory. It's not so much where you'll be wounded when the next one comes out - but what you look to get for the money is a lot. And it is a good primer to get the next Pro when/if it comes out. Followed Oculus since they formed (and later bought by FB) - up to now still haven't got a VR headset due to price, maturity, ecosystem, technology advancements - but this definitely looks the time to jump in now. And the corrective lenses you can get will solve my specs problem!

Great review! The quest 3 is really neat - I only can compare to the VR I tried years ago but I was blown away by how much more refined the VR experience felt.

The meta quest 3 allows for visual pass through similar to the Apple Vision Pro even though it’s much lower quality. these headsets have come a long way!

Sorry for the late reply! I use a third party cable from Amazon. As long as it states that it is compatible with the quest 3 and is deemed a data cable, youre good

Depends on what you're looking for. The lenses will be the same, so games like beat saber won't be any different. Basically, do you want pass-through? Do you want a better processor and for the headset to last longer as the quest 2 is now discontinued and will stop supporting newer games? Is pass-through and future proofing worth $300 us dollars to you? I ordered it as it'll be my first quest, and I don't care about the lens quality being worse than the regular 3, but it's different for everyone

@@paolocee I got the Q3 and it very good, but not mind blowing coming from Q2, if ya get 3S I think ya get maximum an “okayishhh” feeling. I invest my Q2 + 50% of what it worth in cash to get the Q3, I think more than 50% it becomes a “non upgrade worthwhile”, wait for the Quest 4. BUT could be to soon, Im just 8hours on it. (Q3) there is time for a mindset changes.

It’s great! Glad you’re getting the 3 instead of the 3s which I think is just an incremental update to the 2. The 3 is really where it’s at imo.

@@paolocee ar first glimpse it’s really good, but it didn’t take from me that OMG, WHATA *UCK, NO WAY, it’s overall better no question about, but it fails on that MIND BLOWING effect. (Maybe I raised expectations too high and/or because I had a Pimax 8KX (4K per eye) until last week here) Attention: People which get Quest 3s coming from Q2 I think it will be barely noticeable to tell the truth.

thanks for the view. yes, ive been using it as a standalone device 80% of the time with the remaining 20% specifically for Flight Simulator on a PC. You do NOT need a PC to enjoy the Quest 3

Ive had my quest 2 for over 3 years now and use it daily, im not big into VR gaming as there isnt many good games aimed at adults ('Into the Radius' is good but ive played it to death) but I use it all the time for KZbin

Or dungeons of eternity a multiplier dungeon exploration game where you fight monsters unlock more weapons etc. In all those games you don't fight innocent women
