🔴 Having delay in the songs being played? I contacted the owner of the tool and this is his answer (btw it's a 19y old, that's just amazing): Sadly this is just a limitation that happens when using lastfm. Sometimes their servers take longer to update and because of it the overlay is slow to respond :( I’m in talks with them to see what I can do about this, however at the moment it’s out of my control. I am however looking for alternative ways to do this better :)

Bro ty so much, have been looking for a tutorial on yt in like forever! (1 hour) You explained everything so well! Also, I was stuck at what I should do at 4:30 but I slowed it down to 0.25 to see what you we're doing to get onto the browser. But you right click the scrobbler icon and click options bassicaly. Hope this helped if you we're stuck there aswell :D

You can mute the song for you without installing anything, simply create another audio source on streamlabs linked to a peripheral you're not using (I use my screen) and then using the windows settings, set spotify's music on that peripheral.

Great Tutorial! I love a lot about this widget! I like how customizable it is and such. Though there are notable problems I would hope it will be updated in the future~ That's why I like the previous version for the time being. Can you or would you consider making a video that shows how to lower the volume of your music when you speak through the mic? A bit like when a radio DJ talks over his playing song and lowers the volume of the track while he speaks? Is this possible with obs filters? I just noticed the virtual webcam feature in Streamlabs OBS. I'm using obs studio more so didn't see it yet. That'll allow you to create a scene in streamlabs obs and then use that one as a webcam source in zoom etc so then you can indeed follow this tutorial and show music etc on webcam :)

It's broken. On twitch, the pop up is full black as if it was censored, and i have to turn on the setting "Stay Open all the time" to see the pop up otherwise it doesn't appears if i play/pause the song or even when the song changes.

Great tutorial! Id like to add to the last part of the video, about not hearing to your own music, there's an easy way and no need to download cables, I'm pretty sure most of the people have a monitor, or they microphone aux out, etc that you don't actually use, I recommend using a different browser just for music etc, so you don't have to change your output audio all the time, ex; use edge an have your music playing there, so if you want to watch a video with the chat you can do that on your main browser without the need to go back to settings and change the audio output, it works the same, except you are gonna send the audio signal to your monitor's speakers, in which case you can actually have with some volume so you can kind of hear in the background.

But then your mic will pick it up or the noise canceling will have to cancel even more noise. I'm not sure if it would work but maybe one could plug earphones in the monitor and wear those under the headset.

@@TheVideoNerd oh no, that's the thing, you don't have to actually listen to it, the thing is you could listen to it if you want, of course dependes on your mic and settings if picks it or not, the option is there. I just wanted to point out that you don't need extra software (cables) if you don't want to, just us edge, Firefox or whatever, but instead of selecting cables as the output, just select a monitor that you don't use, same result, you won't here the music, unless you unmute your speakers. Again, great video tho!

The overlay is very delayed and sometimes doesn't even pop up. It comes up every now and again but theres a huge delay between the songs. By the looks, I'm not the only one with this problem!

The sad thing with most of these overllay services is that they stop working properly once a lot of people use it due to API reasons as far as I can understand.

Not sure why but every time I implement this on obs, it doesn't show the song. I have the always on display switch turned on, but it still doesn't appear. Am I doing something wrong, is there some setting I'm not seeing? Can anyone help
