as someone who did play around 12 months, i was nowhere near 700gs when i stopped playing. 6 months is generous. Unless you mean playing the game like a fulltime job. (40+ hours a week) then maybe 7 months

if you are playing 2-4 hours actively and doing a AFK life skill from start to finish, you could reach 700 GS in theory. Getting FULL PEN boss gear (aka Doing seasonal as many times as possible with tickets getting free accessory should take about 1 month. Free TET Blackstar weapon and 28B hammer to just knock out Jetinas, Journals, Ator's Power stone, literally puts you at 625 GS (283AP / 344DP ) . Thus you can jump right into grinding 500m/hr+ in any number of spots. Aka Elvia Orcs and start grinding for Silver and buying straight caphras. this is all do able in the first 30 days. your next 2 months will be just pouring all your silver in making all your gear C10 and upgrading Chest / helmet / Gloves to Fallen Boss Variants - putting you now *at DUO* 685 GS ( 283 AP / 404 DP )... and thats in 3 Months with just 2-4 Hours of active grinidng / play time. And now with that DP you can grind at Places like Elvia Giants and Underground Gyfin, making 800m-1.2b/hr. In a 6 month window that leaves you with 3 months to purely work on your AP which, means TET Blackstar Mainhand (13B - aka 13/hours grinding ), PEN Ogre RIng and PEN Valtarra combined is about 80b - aka 80 hours of griniding. and buy this time you have 1 month left. 1 Month purely to get Fallen God Shoes with just sniping the embers off the market - 10B and then making them DUO. leaves you will 292 AP / 410 DP - 701 GS. and this si without even diving into PEN distos or PEN weapons. with that gear you can now do most if not all content in the game and thats under 6 months.

I would also add that with the addition to the Magnus Quest line, you get a FREE pen boss gear of your choosing, as well as unlocking fast travel to the different regions. Choose the Dim tree chest to give Blue +1 to charisma.

Some more pvp-oriented people will leave, buit way more PvE oriented people will come back or try the game for the first time. There is WAY more "pve" players in MMORPGs and Pearl Abyss know that.

And now take a minute to hear from a guy who doesn't get paid to sweet-talk you. >700 GS is relatively easy to come by, that's true, and due to it, the game would've been great to start at... around two years ago. Now, the GS where you get to start playing the game begins at 760s, which will still take you years with average luck to get to, but for players who were already capped, any new released content takes a few days to a week to complete. And don't worry, once you get there, what took an old player 5 hours you will be grinding for 50 due to all new spots being nerfed 2-4 weeks after release where it's night and day difference. 5-15 pity pieces per hour spots become 1-4 pieces at best, 2.5 bil trash spots become 1 bil with worse agris, and so on. >There's nothing to do in the game but grind mobs for tens of thousands of hours, and there's no way to progress through equalized PvP. All uncapped PvP is made for players years of grinding away from you, but you will start seeing them as opponents anywhere from "immediately" (with the new NW/siege system they've implemented because endgame players in Korea ran out of helpless fodder to farm) to "20-30 games" (with recently released Guild League where eventually you'll start seeing exclusively endgame guilds with no way to demote back in rank to ever see a balanced fight again). The only meaningful capped PvP gamemode, "AoS", is a fun timekiller, but even if you paint the entire game history blue, you're getting peanuts compared to what you'd get for grinding mobs. >Most of grinding spots you'll have available to you for your first few months are several years out of date, you'll spend an hour to make 10-20 minutes worth of progress. And remember, your threadmill goes at sprint pace while for endgame players it's practically idle as per point discussed above, you will never make any progress unless you play BDO as your second job... maybe as your first, too. >You'll constantly be whined at by old players that "your catch-up mechanics help you too much" despite them getting the same catch-ups as you do, which are also arguably more valuable to them than they are to a new player, because that way they're easier to liquidate or immediately put to a good use in gear setups. >90% of info about getting paid items for free is basically out of date. You still get costumes every now and then, which you can wear, turn into enhancing mats, or sell for an hour worth of endgame grinding in silver, but pets and maids are now obtainable once per account, as opposed to once per event/season like before. Also there's way, WAY less of them to begin with. You can bid on tradeable pets (most of which have subpar abilities and passives, but otherwise are the same as the good ones) on auction house to get an endgame-worthy lineup fairly cheap and quick, but that's about the extend of your unpaid account QoL progression beside some crumbs you get for your fairy or your lifeskills every now and again. And not having QoL eats into your progression time DRASTICALLY. >Without getting into conspiracies (or "spoilers", if you will) about rigged enhancement system, the "pity enhancement system" is basically a joke that lets you have your item if you've spent, and I'm not kidding, 4-5 times the average (not minimum, AVERAGE) amount of grinding and money on, for *MIDGAME* items, the ones you'll actually need a couple weeks into your playthrough. But hey, it gives players who've been slacking on buying Pearls at least some way to progress, right? Anyway, I could go on and on about issues with BDO, but unfortunately it's still the best action MMO on the market so take it for what you will. The game is awful to start at today, it'll be awful months and years from now, you have been warned.

And now for whoever wants to hear the real review: The game is 99% dead content with next to 0 gearing variety which have all been killed by the "catchup" mechanics or the "we fucked up game balance soo bad and skewed it in favor of paying players that we literally have no idea how to bring new players to the game other than outright giving them 99.99% progressed gear" mechanic as I like to call it that still features an abundance of predatory monetization. The leveling experience does not exist because you can max out within a good 1 hour of playing the game, 2 hours if you don't have anyone to boost you. Questing is one of the most miserable experiences ever crafted in an MMO. Seriously, doing it this bad takes research, it has to be intentionally bad. PVP balance is a colossal joke and not a funny one. PVE balance is a colossal joke and not a funny one. The developers do not know what they want with PVP in this game or if they event want it. The story is comparable to the type of shit Shakespeare wrote. Witch is to say confusing and you probably only ever read the title. As uninteresting as generic as they come. The graphics look cool. Combat animations look cool. Boobs.

No. I already have a job. On a serious note - I deleted my 3 years old account with ~700 gs, top fairy and A LOT of stuff a couple of years ago when I got tired of the game being a gambling-grind circle. It felt like I'm working a second job where conditions are the worst and I don't get paid. Therefore, the game didn't have any social or group content to actually do something besides endless mob and life skill grind. It felt just toxic. The game has some nice graphics and satisfying combat, but fomo is beyond imaginable. Tho, once a year I have this desire to hop in and grind for a bit. But 100% I'm not making a new account for that.

True, but t's tragic how PA took a decade to fix their game, but there's much left, like their quest system, auto-path, obstacle collision, forced to the player unnecessary waiting (like before arena of solare and the Pit fight starts), crystal break system, fairy tokens price, garbage items stuck for eternity on the market, un-deserted at least the rest of the big cities (now can only see players Heidel and AFK fishers in Velia), proper IN-GAME event access (not the current semi-working F2 crap that loads websites in), more clear and condensed item descriptions (we don't care to read yet another "energy streaming from" yet another rock), less tedious alchemy and cooking ingredient management, official and easy to access by new players way to know what's coming next patch and like 1000 other bs..

Weight LT is still the big issue for me. I wanted to grind with Ninja awak just yestarday and when i saw he had 600LT, i was like.. fk it! Yes, we can get weight LT by playing the game: - 300LT from skill points - 200LT from loyality shop (50LT = 3500 loyality | 200 loyalities per day as daily login) - 80LT from belt (gear) Total: 1180LT but it's not enough & heavily time gated to get those 200LT from loyality shop.

Never had an issue with enhancing since game released. Just buy your gear. Only thing you cant buy is debo accesories, but they are more post game than endgame, you can gear enough for every spot without it and the increase really is minimal for how much more they cost, you will probably never make the silver back that it would cost to make them and it's purely for flex.
