"They are only original once" is the adage now & this lovely little Honda came from Minnesota in 2015 with uber low mileage of 12,100 (judging on overall condition I am entirely happy it is genuine) & is an absolute gem of originality that must have been loved & cherished carefully. The only non original parts I can see are David Silver pattern silencers (invoice on file) & very good copies too, braided front brake line & very useful crash bars, otherwise incredibly untouched including looking like the engine has never been apart!
"Hudson" as I have named him as being an American import they were called a "Hawk" is the perfect affordable, super comfortable, entry level for classic bike ownership & has enough zip to keep up with modern traffic without being a big heavy lump. Starts on the button & engine is whisper quiet with the familiar burble these twins make. The bike is now UK registered as an historical vehicle so now MOT exempt & tax free & ready to enjoy (it is taxed, albeit £0, until Oct '24).
I HAVE JUST SPENT A WONDERFUL WEEK ENJOYING DETAILING IT BACK TO IT'S FORMER GLORY & THE BIKE COMES WITH V5 SHOWING NO PREVIOUS OWNERS (IN UK), ORIGINAL OWNERS HANDBOOK (found in its correct pocket under the seat), CLYMER MANUAL, FULL WORKSHOP MANUAL, USA CERTIFICATE OF TITLE (their equivalent of V5), TOOL KIT, ALL RELEVANT NOVA PAPERWORK & A FEW INVOICES & NEW BATTERY.
One key operates all locks including steering lock, everything on the bike is in amazing condition, unmarked seat, pristine lenses & lettering on instrument console (normally worn or faded terribly) pristine switchgear lettering, lovely chromework throughout, and the pièce de résistance is the original paint on the frame & swinging arm which is virtually unmarked. All original decals (have a replacement for the one on the rear mudguard but left on for originality) i.e. both tank warning decals, helmet lock, shock absorbers (again have some replacements) rear mudguard & headstock label showing year of manufacture. The only thing that is showing its age is the paintwork which is easily rectified as there is only a tank & 2 side panels & decals readily available if you want to make concours condition. The tank inside is pristine as well.
TRY FINDING ANOTHER ONE THIS ORIGINAL, SUCH LOW MILES & IN THIS BEAUTIFUL CONDITION WITH ONE KEY OPERATING ALL LOCKS & YOU WILL STRUGGLE AS THEY WERE ONLY MADE FOR 2 YEARS & ARE VERY VERY RARE NOW. PERSONALLY I PREFER THE DREAM TO THE SUPERDREAM TO LOOK AT & IN PARTICULAR AS THEY ARE MUCH MUCH RARER
I am semi-retired & do this as a passion/pension top up - consequently my bikes are competitively priced (I have no overheads) so price is firm & I believe you will not find better presented examples as I personally detail them PROPERLY with no jet washing or harsh chemicals by using waterless wash & go system & a lot of WD40.
