(NOW SOLD) FOR SALE £7,500 - 1986 Honda VF1000R Rothmans Edition, 1 of only 530 worldwide

Being a Honda, then an "R" edition & then in iconic Rothmans livery, already make this a desirable
bike BUT add to that there were only 530 made worldwide & you have a pretty special machine.
This particular example originates from Switzerland but is now UK registered with V5 & MOT
IT WAS SUBJECT TO A 4,500 EURO RE-COMMISSION IN 2014 BY "MANIAC MOTORS" OF GERMANY
WHO HAVE A VERY HIGH REPUTATION. I HAVE A DETAILED EMAIL OUTLINING WHAT WAS DONE IN GERMAN WHICH I HAVE USED GOOGLE TRANSLATION ON & IT INCLUDES SUCH THINGS AS FORKS, REAR SHOCK (looks like new still) TYRES & OBVIOUSLY A LOT OF ENGINE WORK AND AS SUCH THE ENGINE IS WHISPER QUIET & STARTS ON THE BUTTON & RUNS LIKE A SWISS WATCH!

The overall condition is very very good with the photos/video making the bodywork look better than
it is after 36 years of use. If it was mine I would pay £1000 to have the panels professionally sprayed
& it would then look superb. I have well over £1000 worth of spares which also include a
full decal set ready for the respray. OEM - Spare seat, clocks, radiator & fans plus engine parts
some still in unopened Honda bags with labels in!
The only other one I have seen for sale is up at £14,995 albeit with lower miles but that makes this
very good value for one especially with all the extras & having had professional engine work

Should have! Cannot believe I've no enquiries yet, it's a steal! Engine sounds sublime & it really really is a gem but hey ho! If it doesn't go soon I will have professionally resprayed & put it up for 10k! My CB900F is looking awesome now - 30 man hours later! ... video soon, any suggestions for track 😉😉???

Rare in rothmans colours, has the headlight been replaced? As I thought they were a twin type

Depends where they were delivered but yes some were (much nicer) twin headlights as my recent other one shows ... can't believe I've had 2!!

@@PurpleHelmetMotorbikes these we're always expensive bikes, I remember when I was up to my eyes with a loan for my 500ypvs in 1985, in marlboro colours, was 3.5k the vf1000r was 6k if I remember correctly
