The "horse" and the head of Kimaris are a reference to the steed of Odin, Sleipnir. This ties in with how Gjallarhorn and all of its mobile suits are given Norse Mythology naming conventions. Kimaris-Vidar has so much going on with name and story theming alone that propels it to being one of my favorite Gundams.

Kimaris Vidar is my favorite IBO MS, Darilbalde is one of, if not my absolute favorite WFM MS, Moon Gundam is my favorite Gundam of all time… I think it’s safe to say Ippei Gyoubu is my favorite Gundam designer

This Gundam is second in design only to Barbatos Lupus Rex. I love the design of the feet on both Gundams . Most of the other Gundams look like they are wearing shoes.

I’m curious about this line. There has to be so much work that goes into this from the production side. Makes me wonder why they choose to make a metal robot damashii over an MG? Do these make more money than an MG? Just a different team? It is beautiful and I’m glad they made it.

you might be underestimating how much more engineering has to go into a model that fits together well and is fun to build, and i imagine the margins are better since they can upcharge for all the premium bells and whistles that aren't actually that much harder

As much as I hate the fact that Gaelio survived his _obvious_ death at the end of IBO Season 1 (dammit Okada)... the Kimaris Vidar is an undeniably awesome Gundam design. And at the very least, I'm hoping that this Metal Build version's arms don't eventually "sag" from the weight of posing with that huge-ass Drill Lance.
