Something like "buying" it from himself from another account to inflate the market price. I've seen it done at TCGPlayer before, some seller doing it to increase the median price and then actually sell it for more then the price was supposed to be.

Dynamix definitely did their fair share of adventure games. Outside of Willy Beamish and Rise of the Dragon, they did Heart of China, Rama and they even worked on the 5th entry of the Space Quest series, due to Sierra relocating co-creator Mark Crowe to Dynamix in order to help them get familiar with Sierra's in-house adventure game engine SCI.

I had a 4-player adapter, but it didn't need batteries. It plugged into both ports of the console, and had a longer cord than the controllers themselves. I would use it both as an extension cord as well as ensuring my controllers would actually work. Just like I used my Game Genie more to make it more likely for my games to work than just putting them in on their own.

We didn't have the NES Satellite when I was a kid. My parents wisely got us the NES Four Score, which was essentially the same type of four-player adapter complete with "turbo" functionality. The big difference was that the Four Score was wired and plugged into both controller ports on the NES, so there was no need for batteries. Plus, the cable for the Four Score was a good six feet long, allowing it to be placed conveniently among four people or to function as a sort of extension cord even when only being used by one or two players. We only had one game that took advantage of the four- player functionality, Super Off Road, but it was still a great accessory to have since as previously mentioned it had "turbo" toggles for the A and B buttons and it also worked well as an extension cord. Thanks for the entertaining video and stay safe out there!

Technically, Bomberman II WASN'T the first in the series to introduce the iconic battle mode. It actually started with Bomber Boy/Atomic Punk/Dynablaster on the Game Boy in 1991, followed by Bomberman for the Turbografx-16 (aka Dyna Blaster for Amiga, MS-DOS and Atari ST) and Bomberman/Atomic Punk/Dynablaster for the arcades. Also, I'm not too sure about the story mode either, since pretty much every Bomberman game before II already had some kind of story going on in the game itself or at least some kind of cutscene.

I always wanted a four player adapter, but I never had more than two friends over at a time except that one birthday party I had, and none of my games supported four players except for Anticipation, which in full four player mode had two people sharing half of a controller. If you think 6 C batteries is a lot, the official Atari Lynx battery pack used 6 D batteries, an entire pound of extra weight to your "portable" gaming experience. I was disappointed that it wasn't like the one for the Game Boy, which was both an AC adapter and a rechargeable power cell.

11:15 Six C batteries is extreme, but the real question I have is: How did the wireless tech work? Did it actually use RF (Radio Frequency) like the Wavebird, or was it another finicky IR (Infrared) connection? I remember having a wireless IR controller for the N64 that was near unusable due to horrible input lag and having to hold the controller in a constant position aimed at the IR receiver plugged into the console.
@TigerNightmare
@TigerNightmare Жыл бұрын
If you look closely at the NES Satellite, it has that sort of dark red sensor rectangle, something you'll find on the front of your typical remote control. I think the only wireless peripheral that didn't use IR was the Power Glove, which used ultrasonic soundwaves.
