Mr. Big also had a minor hit with "Just Take My Heart", which is less acoustic and more standard post-80s rock fare. 8:19 - first: HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DYLAN! Many of us WISH we were 30 again. It's like an extension of 28, really; not old at all, I promise. ...but second: with Disney owning Marvel _and_ 20th Century Studios, this could be totally doable if they wanted! Spider-Man VS. Alien... hey why not?
@KairuHakubi Жыл бұрын
Happy Birthdylan! you know what I like about this show? Indiana Jones is not being brought up because of new movie hype, but because it's June 30th 1993 Also i love how strongly associated Spider-Man is with rock and metal music, between this, the 90s series theme song, and Maximum Carnage, everyone seemed to understand that a guy doing flips and going through tough real life problems and punching dudes totally needs to put you in the mood to rock out.

The lyrics to "Swingtime", the opening theme to Spider-Man vs. Kingpin, has a phrase where, depending how you listen to it, it could either say "bring on the big guns" or "bring home the bacon".

In Mario Is Missing, you actually collect the artifacts from the Koopas and return them to Not-Peach; they are not a reward for the quizzes. For your effort you're granted a tourist photo-opp at the place in question and points based on how long it took. It's more of a geography game than a history game, but considering most of the sites you visit are historically significant, I see why it seems that way.

Happy birthday, Dylan! Hope you can find a copy of Battle Wheels asap! Didn't knew anything about that game! Awesome video as always, guys! I remember wanting to rent Mario is Missing for the NES just because I wanted to play a Mario game that allowed me to ride a Yoshi (Didn't have a SNES back in the day, and watching some Game Shows on TV that showed footage of SMW got me hyped AF). I remember seeing screens of the animated intros for the Spiderman game on Sega CD and I thought the TV series was the original inspiration for them, until I finally watched the series and noticed the artstyle was really different; then I realised I was wrong. (Things premiered really late here in Argentina before Globalization, that's why I got my Genesis in 92-93, instead of 89-90s... So we had this Spiderman Game and the TV cartoon almost at the same time). As for Young Indy... I remember the show was pretty boring to me. Didn't even care about the games at all...
@Webhead123 Жыл бұрын
Spider-Man vs. Kingpin was one of the handful of games I had on Sega CD. It was (and still is) an incredible Spider-Man game. It gave a sense of freedom and immersion that no other Spider-Man game had achieved to that point. The animated cutscenes (though cheesy) were very fun and the music was badass. I still randomly listen to the game's soundtrack from time to time because it is just that good.
@avereynakama9854 Жыл бұрын
Happy Birthday, Dylan! Okay, glad I'm not the only one that voluntarily played as much Mario is Missing as I could. To be fair, that wasn't very much since it was a rental. I dunno, I like Luigi, it was the first Luigi game and we didn't get a lot of games. What else did we really have? Barbie for the Genesis (I'm ashamed :/) one of those Wisdom Tree Bible games (knowing that it was based off of the original Zelda, of which I was also bad at, I don't feel so bad for not getting far in it) and... a lot were forgettable. Played the daylights out of DKC and DKC 2 when those came out.

Happy birthday to Dylan! Spider-Man on the Sega CD was the first Spider-Man game that really made me feel like the web-slinger, and that system wasn't just a waste of money... towards the end of its life there were a couple of games that did justify its price, dragon's lair, snatcher, and the incredible Port of eternal champions with cine-kills, which absolutely blew my mind, as secrets in fighting games thrilled me like nothing else

I remember really being excited for the Young Indiana Jones Chronicles show as I was a huge fan of the movies. The episodes originally all started with a 90 year old Indy telling someone about one of his past adventures...either when he was a child traveling with his parents around the world, or as a teenager that struck out on his own, ending up fighting in World War I among other things. Later on, they cut out the old Indy intros and endings as well as the child focused episodes, leaving just the teenage Indy before they started doing those made for TV movies, including the one they got Harrison Ford to play a 50-some year old Indy telling a story.

Wait, it's Dylan's birthday today? Whoa, same! (I was also born June 30th) Also, when PC Luigi emerges, *_[Pulse and Anxiety intensifies]_* As for Gray Matter Interactive, it shouldn't be confused with Gray Matter Studios, who made Redneck Rampage back when they were Xatrix Entertainment, and later went on to make Return to Castle Wolfenstein, before getting folded into Treyarch and consigned to the Call of Duty mines.

The only Lynx game I've ever played, but I remember being sad when lunch ended and I had to give it back because I thought it was awesome. 3. Yeah, the 90s had a thing for young, teenager versions of heroes. Young Indiana Jones was one. Prior to that there was Superboy but instead of it being a separate character it was just Young Superman. As well as Young Hercules. There may be more but I can't think of any offhand.

Happy birthday Dylan! Can you tell I'm a friendly guy? I remember first playing Mario Is Missing over at my cousin's place. I was too young to be dropped off at my house at the time because I would be alone, so instead they dropped me off at my cousin's house that was just down the road a ways. My one cousin had games and I would play some while I was over there. I played stuff like Aladdin and Kirby's Dream Land. I also took a chunk of one day to play MIM and get as far as I could. I knew it wasn't the greatest, but it felt good to make progress. I remember my cousin using the game as an opportunity to talk about violence in games and how so many games utilize it. I think she was interested in MIM because it was less violent...but then I pointed out to her how you still stomp koopas to death. I still have the game to this day.
