It was so dope. So violent. They even had an episode where their team plane crashed in the mountains (mirroring a rugby team in 1972) where they forced Razer Kidd (the lizard character and Bones' best friend) to cut his own tail off so they could eat it. "you'll heal in the rejuvenation chamber" they told him! LOL They even had a scene where they offered him a piece of his own tail to eat! He refused it though. I saw that as a kid, I'm 36 now and I can still see it. Really stuck with me. I really wish I could find a way to watch it today.

I think Super Turrican is a game that needs to be in everyones Super Nintendo collection. As a german, i think the Turrican series is one of our greatest exports in gaming history and Chris Huelsbeck is one of the most underrated game composers in history, as he even inspired composer Yuzo Koshiro, who would go on to make music for Streets of Rage, Actraiser and Shenmue.

Random trivia: Lynn Thigpen (the only chief we'll ever need) actually had a few notable movie and TV roles out of this; one of the coolest being the radio DJ in "The Warriors", the one who basically is giving the play-by-play of everyone chasing after the framed gang as they try to get back to Coney Island.

I looked into a bit of it, and Factor 5 IS kinda revived, as the German location was still active and its CEO, Achim Moller, even liquidated Factor 5 GmbH and transferred all their game licenses to something called "Eggebrecht, Engel, Schmidt GbR." In addition, in 2017, the Us branch was revived and reacquired the rights to Turrican. Btw, you wanna know why they closed down? Cause the publisher they had multiple contracts with at the time, in Brash Entertainment, closed down after just over a year in business. Weird how only making games based on stuff like the live-action Alvin & The Chipmunks movie and Space Chimps wasn't very profitable, huh?

Having been born in November of ‘93, it is interesting to learn about the games that came out before I was born. Most of my gaming memories started with Pokémon on the Gameboy, some N64 games, the PlayStation and the Sega Genesis for the short time that we had it. Despite gaming having been a major means of entertainment throughout my life, I have never been able to afford many games so my experiences are limited.
