He Reminds me of: “The old man was thin and gaunt with deep wrinkles in the back of his neck. The brown blotches of the benevolent skin cancer the sun brings from its reflection on the tropic sea were on his cheeks. The blotches ran well down the sides of his face and his hands had the deep-creased scars from handling heavy fish on the cords. But none of these scars were fresh. They were as old as erosions in a fishless desert. Everything about him was old except his eyes and they were the same color as the sea and were cheerful and undefeated.” - Old Man and the Sea

@@janemorrow6672 I think it was the realisation that I too need space to create, A LOT of space... and to see that farmhouse, and understand what my creative space could look like, was the major aha moment... I have since rented a much larger space in an old industrial building and I love it! And I have this video to thank for it. I also realised I need to learn to put aside the professional aspect of my job in order to not kill my creativity (something elizabeth gilbert also said in her book Big Magic)... That I too am a complex person (isn't everyone though?) and that I don't need to feel shame about that when attempting to describe myself to people...
