If Christ did not return when and how He said He would, then ALL of us should still be in the old covenant. How do the dispensationalists get around that? It's embarrassing how many times we've been told we're in the end times and the world will be destroyed. The bible tells us in many places, world without end. I just bought the book and all the ratings are 5 out of 5. Looking forward to the read.

The dispensationalists get around this problem by saying the Jews will practice Torah again with a rebuilt temple and restored animal sacrifices, and there are "Christians" who are also waiting for this to happen.

Don that was the most important and influential book to me that you had. As I started reading it I was convinced you were crazy. About half way through I realized I was the one who was crazy (wrong) and you were correct. And that one book broke me and my futurism.

The last days were the last days, the decades 30-70 AD. In the 40 years all spiritual-earthly events that were predicted to us in the Word of God were fulfilled. All other claims are ideological and contradict all statements of Scripture. Blessing

God glorified his son Jesus in the resurrection from the dead, to the ascension into the spiritual kingdom of his Father. Through the outpouring of his Spirit on all flesh, and the visible judgment 66-70 AD in the material destruction of Jerusalem and the 2nd Temple. Matthew 22:30; For in the resurrection they will neither marry nor be given in marriage, but they are like angels in heaven. Angels in heaven are in the presence of God, as is the bride of Christ, from all believers! She was already in the community of God, but they were waiting for the bridegroom Jesus to celebrate the spiritual wedding, the judgment on the disobedient Jews of the old covenant. Blessing

What in the name of reason makes anybody think that we are now free to murder and all of the rest of it? No Christian ever needs to be taught about such obvious things. Even non Christians know that most of the things listed in the 10 commands are off bounds, and they never learnt that from the bible or any Christian. So what motivates you to ask such a moot question?

So SANCTIFICATION was effected by the sacrifice of His body and the pouring out of His blood for our sins. SALVATION from DEATH and HADES was accomplished from THE TIME when His body came back to life, and His soul was raised up from out of Hades. But Don has all of this salvation only taking place years later by means of the Roman army razing Jerusalem to the ground. I just don't get it.

​@@colingr318 I don't get it either. I can't find a single verse that expressly states the saints were under the *debt of sin* from the Day of Pentecost onwards. If the destruction of Jerusalem in AD70 was the big day to fully take away the sins of the world, then surely there would be at least one verse to explain it.

And I fail to understand how Jesus, metaphorically depicted as coming on a warhorse, and with a sword, to judge disobedient Israel, also turns in a High-Priest-Jesus coming out of the heavenly temple (MHP) temple to _finally,_ after such a long delay, pronounce the forgiveness of the sins of those who first believed in him from AD 33 and onwards. The verses that you shared above do not allow for that view.

We come out of Hades or death by receiving God's presence within us through faith in the Son Jesus, who has redeemed us from death and darkness. This is the rebirth of our spirit, from God's spirit.

The gospel story was spiritual allegory. The virgin daughter of zion that travails in childbirth with her FIRSTBORN Ephraim was not a woman named Mary. And your SONS will marry you. The remnant of HER SEED. I thought Jesus was her only seed? The last days in the 1st century was for Judah, Jer 31. AFTER THOSE DAYS the house of Israel will have their last days. Those days are upon us. Satan was not destroyed in the 1st century and Ephraim the Firstborn Was not gathered from ALL nations in the 1st century. "The righteous will never be removed but the wicked shall NOT INHABIT THE EARTH". Proverbs 10:30. Last time i looked around the wicked were ruling the earth. The war in heaven is happening now and manifesting in the earth. And Rome was not destroyed by fire from heaven in the 1st century. And the sea of nations still exists. And we are not one united people even within our own religious denominations. And the nations never burned their weapons of war and peace on earth did not come to be manifest for all to see.

It seems to me that the time of the end (not the end of time), the last days, or the end of the Old Covenant age started with the Birth of the Messiah. The religious leadership knew that the time of the last days of Old Covenant Israel would be when the Messiah appeared, and that the last days were in the time that Jesus was Born, according to the oracles and information they had been given from GOD. The religious leadership even went to see John the Baptizer at the River Jordan to ask him if he was the Messiah because they knew the Messiah should have been on the scene already...and, of course, He was, which would have been the sign that the end of the Old Covenant age of Israel, the last days, had started. John 1:19-34
