@@DHankins19 no I can totally agree with you isekai is over saturated but the good ones are still in my top ten battle shounen and isekai don’t really mix they just go off of tropes and isekai story and protagonist in poorly written stores go off these said tropes which make it seem like it’s the cause but it’s really not they are just using what they know people like from shounen. But the isekai that stand above the rest like tensura aka slime and Mushokou tensei aka jobless reincarnation make all the modern battle shounen hell even the shounen genre look weak in the story telling department those stories blow most if not all new age anime out of the water and deep into land so deep they are practically hiding in caves 😂

I would say and no flex here but a background of watching anime on release since like 2007 Shounen plots used to be way more focused on 1 main plot developing instead of random enemy fights or saving random characters to add to the MCs group. Even SAO was better imo in S1 before it just developed into Kirito saving some new character every season. It really killed the plot if anything. IDK shounen is just better when its well written but a lot of ppl are starting not to see it that way. Moshoko Tensai is insanely good at keeping it interesting with minimal combat. Tensura as well Rim developing into a Demon Lord was made so much better because of the way it was written up till the moment. Re: Zero is another of my favorites without being mainly combat focused but the plot man 👏🏾👏🏾

Not only is the action only one part of the show, but like... it's critical to the nature of the story that we see all the discussions and stuff, partially just because rimuru isn't even really about all this powering up business. Three things individually are already rare, dying and being reborn with all memories intact, transferring to the Cardinal World, and being reborn as a monster. Rimuru having all three happen to him at the same time makes his reincarnation a one-in-a-million chance occurrence.
