IMO, he didnt trick the Knight Commander to drop his sword, Jinwoo put away his dagger cause he felt he had a better chance to damage the armor with his hand and pure strength. A due to the Knight Commander having honor as a warrior, decides to fight Jinwoo in hand to hand. It really wasnt trickery it was just two dudes going bare knuckle fighting.

I agree. The average anime watchers need some extra info, so in ep 1 introducing key characters that leads up Jeju and also showing Jeju raid 3 year prior the story, gonna be more meaningful. It's also a set-up because we are getting 23-25 episodes, so its very likely we will end up finish Jeju island in the first season, which I'm hoping for.

watched the anime last night, so far it has not let me down. yes somethings are out of order but for an anime. absolute fire, that first ep was cooked to perfection. it covered how the story started but gave us background info for the start where it needed to be. now lets talk about one of the key things that made the manhwa look good. anime does not disappoint in that sense either. oh how i can not wait for more eps.

Later on it shows Yoo Jinho and Han Song-Yi, Jinwoos sisters (Sung Jinah) friend from school. They did it right and did not fully name drop them but did show them. He does not meet Jinho till a small bit later i think either in a D or C dungeon when jinwoo is around lvl 20. Then meets his sisters friend around lvl30 or 40 when him and jinho are in the process of clearing enough low rank dungeons to get their guild license.

The Jeju island from the beginning was jot out of order. A1 are following the “light novel”, not the manhwa, which the manhwa didnt have that part. Which is good cause manhwa cut a lot of part, especially the detailed ones

For those who don't know Jinwoo entered to the double dungeon and he's been chosen as the host of strongest Monarch, Ex Strongest Ruler. Within time he's gotten strong cuz the monarch inside him was kinda releasing his power to the jinwoo gradually under the mask of system. This is what we've seen as levelling up. When he reached to a certain peak it was time to bring him to the dungeon and assimilate his body but Monarch had a change in the heart, He left his powers to Jin Woo and made his short farewell with him.

Idk if this is necessarily the case but an idea that i got from reading before was that his powers were given/ drawn to him due to his constant dance with death when he was just a normal e rank hunter. Basically the dungeon that initially gave him his powers was not random but something that is drawn to people who it seems to be worthy such as power wise or closes to darkness itself.

Id like to add. Unlike alot of series where they are given this power because of maybe 1 act or on a whim. He truly earned his power. He used the little ability he had, and his courageousness and facing emminent death in the face, even giving himself up to die despite not wanting to die to save everyone he could. And then after still struggled and overcame odds tbrough the whole thing nearly dying each time. Sing jin woo has my respect as a capable kind and worthy person of his ability to go against the natural order of the world

@@AlmightyKevo at first, yeah. SL had so much potential but it was all downhill after his first dungeon (the one with the snake/serpent iirc). Man just diffs everyone for literally no reason and all characters exist only to glaze him or die to him. What the fuck is the point of the story halfway through when they pretty much confirmed that literally everyone else don't even count as fodder and only he can do shit but it's okay cuz he'll win. They did the strongest hunter so fucking dirty by just using him to gawk gawk 3000 the MC towards the end LMAO. @bocahpintar2gt yes, but other shonen characters utilize their world building and most importantly, OTHER CHARACTERS, way better. Gon had kurapika, leorio and killua (and killua was consistently stronger than Gon the whole time), naruto had sasuke who even towards the end was arguably stronger than him and was always a reliable ally against bigger threats, asta had yuno and the entire black bulls, etc etc... SL is literally just the MC dicking the entire verse on his own and everyone exists for glazing purposes only. So many side characters wasted... The chairman's storyline seemed interesting being the fragment of light or whatever, especially since he's very plot-relevant due to his connection with the main girl + his role in helping the MC since the start, but again it was just butchered and was basically just mentioned.

As some one who’s read the manwha like 6 times, I can explain. Monarchs and rulers are of a higher existence and don’t have shadows, also their mana is extremely pure, which is why when Jin-woo takes up the mining job, Cha Hae-In says he smells nice due to her being extremely sensitive to mana. Jin-woo has a shadow as well he is the monarch of shadows and his shadow is where he keeps his soldiers. And I do think that somewhere the beast monarch has a shadow but it’s believed to represent his aura.

something you got off early on, Jin-oo doesn't put any stats into any other skills, he got them passively from items and level ups. Each level boosted his stats by 1, and only when he gets bonus stats from special quests(~lv 40, or right before his first job change quest) does he start putting things in other categories. He even says once he receives the necromancer job, that he's only put points into strength up until then, and is slightly dismayed that he needs to spec into intelligence now.
