Just finished a lonnnnng expedition to Colonia in my DBX to get my elite rank in exploration (Almost made it too, went from Pathfinder to Pioneer) and I figured I'd have some fun in the Colonia bubble first before heading to Sag A* and then back home. Cobra MkIII piracy it is.

interesting way of slowing down the ship, also i know the cobra is a versitile vessel but wouldnt it be better to get something where you could fit a collector limpet?

Thanks, you can fit collector on a cobra easily. As a pirate I wanna be prepared for anything, and brushing up on an old skill is a good practice. As a reference, it took me 4:13 sec for 36 tons with collectors and 6:50 sec for 40t tons manually. I plan to do a review on other ships viable for NPC piracy - some day. Nice video. I'm having trouble finding systems with T9 or T6 miners. Are you looking for agricultural with ringed planets? Is that your only criteria? Or are there other system types that work?

Spawning mechanic seems random to me but with certain rules. It feels similar to combat zones, depending on instance, algoritams prioritaze big or small ships. Same goes to Type 9 - 7 - 6 and other miner ships distribution. My rutine goes like this: 1. fire up eddb, set system filters to agricultural + anarchy 2. sort by distance and just go for the first one tip: perfect candidat are systems with stations relativly close to the star, try to avoid binary ones with secondary star too far away. (reduces / splits spawning rate in general, and chasing things in supercruise is...) 3. spend some time there and see how it goes 4. if you constantly get asp-s, dbx-s, cobra-s try reseting instance by droping to normal space and back to supercruise again. 5. repeat 2-3 times and if results are the same, just go to the next system in line... Of course, I have no data to back any of this up, everything is pure subjective "feel"... And I wanna hear about results in few weeks ;)

Okay so after a few weeks i have gotten MUCH better at the bump stop. Also, i think you're right that there is not much of a difference between whether or not the system has ringed planets. What seems to be more important is the population. Jumping in and out of super cruise hasnt worked great form me to change the spawning splits, but leaving the system and coming right back does work well for me.

A regular multi-cannon would be good instead of the enforcer, or should I go with cannon with force shells until I get the enforcer?

Cannon force shell has greater stopping power, and is much better solution then enforcer, which should be used for small adjustments that you can get by bumping. I do not belive that regular multi-cannon have force ability.
