I have had this fountain for my cat for about two months. I think it is a great fountain. My cat took up with it the very first time I turned it on. The important thing I have found is that you should clean it about twice a week, otherwise it gets very slimy. Filter is mostly for looks, but it does catch cat hair.

hi, can you make a video of all the cat fountains you have and rate it? which fountain have you tested and can recommend, for someone like me who already use a filtered water, and only have 1 cat. appreciate your response on this. been looking for a good water fountain that is easy to maintain and will not electrocute my cat.

I was wondering how difficult or easy this is to clean (the fountain and the pump)? I have used several fountains in the past and many have crevices that make them difficult to clean completely (fountain and pump). If the pump easy to take apart to clean?

I have it for a few months now. the issue is that the filter doesn't seem to do much, just looks like normal foams.

Thanks for the review. Does NPET provide a way to buy replacement filters? I think the 'filter' is not create filtered water when you first put it in, but only to remove hairs etc. So if you want your cats to drink filtered water, you should always put pre-filtered water (or from a bottle) in there. I just fill it with tap water every day and I do not have the illusion that the 'filter' actually filters the water more than to remove hairs and insects. I am sure this entire set up needs FRESH water every single day.

I like your review and I 100% agree with you. It’s been a great little fountain. I use mine on the patio since my cat was a stray and adopted me. He loves it and a few other neighborhood cats stop by for a sip once in a while :)

I threw out the small piece from the pump as well 😢 but the fountain seems to be working well without it. Do you think its okay to use this fountain without this piece?

I would also suggest not to hook the cable at the bottom, too much hassle, also the media that is supplied is only charcoal and normal sponge, the ones previous supplied had resin to soften the water, but I think it was too expensive so they use normal sponge and charcoal, you can buy a large piece and cut to size, much cheaper. Hope this help.

@@SvenandRobbie does it have two USB connection, one female and one male, if so it's the PIR sensor, just attach it to the power and the USB on the motor, it will sense movement and turn on and off. You want to look into the miiibo water fountain, there are plenty on KZbin, much easier to clean.
