The more I listen to Logan's work, the more I get his beautiful jazz message, surely a deep and dedicated jazz artist

Can't remember the last time music made me feel this way. My body is tingling all over. I'm in complete awe of what these fine men have created, and so incredibly thankful to tiny desk for making this space for them, and many others.

Logan Richardson plays so lyrically he's astonishing. Mighty bad, indeed. If you get a chance listen to him play with the legendary jazz drummer/ composer Joe Chambers in a Blue Note non electric setting that's in the Andrew Hill school of Jazz that's so unique. Playing in such esteemed company at his age is commentary on his mastery. He's assembled a really nice ensemble here to embellish his solo artistry. Logan is proof in the pudding that there is a horizon of possibilities to be explored that goes way beyond the limits of previous extensions of the fusion jazz/R&B medium while not succumbing to non-melodic, cacophony or random overreaching, nor easy-listening boredom. He reminds me of Joe Farrell, who died way too early like Trane and Dolphy et al. He's simply the man to watch he's got so much to say.

Saw Logan Richardson playing with Christian Scott at the Roxy some time ago. He stands meditative on stage soaking in the sound around him then powerfully comes alive during his solo. Blew me away then. So glad to see NPR giving him the nod.

Just saw them live this past weekend, it was like watching musical genius. They're being quite reserved here because they were all maniacs on stage. Beyond brilliant. It was like watching a nuclear explosion & fusion at the same time. Their drummer, Ryan Lee, was incredible -he needed a seat belt! So while it's Logan's sax work at the forefront, each of the musicians were on some other planet this past weekend.

Jazzy Orozco Playing alto myself I can appreciate the solidarity of this man’s contemporary jazz style paired with an indie - alternative band sound. Reminds me of my playing style. Room for improvisation and filling.

The guitar on the left is Not grooving with the rest on the first song. 2nd song, the main melodic line is ripped from Careless Whisper- George Michael.
