This has become one of my favorite Tiny Desk performances. I wanted to point some things out. It seems that all of these songs make allusions to classic soul songs. The most obvious would be "Georgia" to "Georgia on My Mind." I suspect the "goat head in the back" outro is a nod to the "diamond in the back, sunroof top" chorus from "Be Thankful for What You Got." "Baby" definitely has a "Distant Lover" vibe goin' on. And I also think "Stay High" makes an allusion to "How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved by You)" but that's the one I'm least sure of. I would not be surprised if someone else has already figured this out or if most of these are just stretches. The "Georgia" one can't be wrong, though.
