Greetings! I would like to ask for some of your Expertise to help with a issue i got, if that's alright :). Basically, i got a old Husqvarna Viking Opal 650, it was a old school machine that had some needle clamping issues and some other minor stuff wrong with it, they were gonna toss it out, friend of mine rescued it with the thoughts of fixing it, newer got to it, then dumped it on me :D Not a bad machine to be given for free, overkill for home use maybe but hey! Its free! Now i've managed to solve all the issues except one, the Needle clamp. The screw for it was completly striped, so i tried to get a new clamp. but APPARENTLY! those aren't available around here.... so i had to get the entire Needle rod, no worries there, got the part, realised its been changed a bit so i had to replace the entire needle bar+clamp, not just the clamp...... and i think i might have goofed :c Now i watched your video on setting the needle bar height, but it still don't seem to want to play nice. I can see the top thread going down, catching on the hook and looping almost around the bobbin case, but the thread seems to stop at about 2/3 away from looping all the way around, there it bundles up and eventually rips the Bobbin Case out of its place and the needle strikes the bobbin case and machine jams. Any good ideas what's causing that? and how to fix it? all i did was loosen 2 screws that held the needle bar in place (one for needle bar, one for the needle threader) .-. Tension got changed perhaps? or is there something else i might have missed? Mostly worked on my good ol Singer 29k before, so these high tech stuff is a bit beyond me. I would have come by and leave it for repairs, but unfortunately there's a small lake between Sweden and New York :D Any help or tips would be greatly Appreciated! Kind Regards -Rasmus

@@citysewing Hmm im sorry im not quite sure i follow? it worked fine until the needle bar was changed (well accept the needle fell out thus the bar replacement) The upper thread is being caught by the hook, and dragged around, but doesnt seem to make it all the way before its released and the hook picks up the next loop. Is there some speed change that needs to be done on the hook? Hope ain't causing you a headache :D
