They could sell a mini-itx case AND a framework for the rad/pump/res, solving their problem of "we don't sell enough stuff to make this affordable" as well as "maintaining a custom loop is hard".

Coming from a v1, sounds like Coolermaster hasn't seen that the supermajority use air coolers (check out the subreddit) and barely ever mount a GPU vertically or even mention that's something they want to do. I'm going to echo the same sentiment as everyone else. This is a fundamental step back in case design for Coolermaster. They got rid of the flexibility everyone loved about the case. It wasn't a standout in any other area. Now it's just more expensive, while having about as much flexibility as any other sff case and likely worse quality than something like a dan a4 h20. One of the things cooler master could do is redesign the rear bracket to allow the GPU to sit higher. This might allow dual rad which would actually make for a decent showcase build with good temps.
@dreadlord92579 ай бұрын
Definitely a regression. All they really needed to do was update the front-io ports and call it a day. Not everyone goes for water-cooling. Nor does everyone go for 4090+ monster gpus where sag is a massive issue (especially in mini-itx builds where size and heat become major factors).

It's possible they didn't do that because then they'd be competing directly with the SAMA IM-01, which is a larger (by about a liter, iirc?) NR200P clone with mATX support and has been available for two-ish years now. It's not perfect though, if you have a mATX mobo that's a bit on the tall side, the bottom I/O connectors will interfere with the bottom fans (they could've avoided this by offsetting the fan mounts) and the panel porosity is more restrictive compared to Cooler Master's.

Not to be mean, but how is NR200P V2 not a stripped out version of the NR200P Max with a bit more of height? What I liked about the previous version (and most people I presume), was that you had the versatility to do do both a water cooled or air cooled build. The good part of this new case now is the 140mm fan / 280mm aio support up top, the bracket not coming with lid and the type C port. Major down side is no horizontal GPU support and singular regular fan (having to use a scondary slim fan). Hopefully they'll make a V2.1 correcting all this with user feedback.

It's great, but they should've added a second standard 120mm fan on the bottom. This would add only a few millimeters to its height. I was pleased with the esthetics of my build when I used NR200P v1 with a glass panel and vertically mounted 3060ti. I've even used Bequite Pure Loop AIO, so the pump was not on the top of the circuit. But then I've decided to upgrade GPU, and I was able to fit it only horizontally, so it's not so sleek anymore.

Are they improving the filters as what they promised to Kitguru?

I bought the NRP200P V2. It has the design I wanted.👍

time for me to buy the old one since this won't mount 2 radiators with fans on it.

Why only this channel had this nr200p v2? Is this case real or just gimmick display by cooler master booth?
@AndreiE1909 ай бұрын
I would build with AIO regardless. Plus bigger GPUs…That’s what I’ve been waiting for exactly…

is there any difference between this and the MAX case.

Thinking of getting this to modify my nr200p max. For the new color panels an new front IO
@sem_aki9 ай бұрын
The only upgrade here is USB C, hope we can mod that onto the V1 cases lol

Only including vertical GPU mounts is a regression, they missed the ball on this one. hope they listen to alot of this feedback and make an additional bracket or a V3 with both horizontal and vertical mounts, they'd sell thousands.
@ojassarup2589 ай бұрын
FYI you couldn't mount an AIO on top before on the regular NR200/P, it was only possible on the side
@medioxcore9 ай бұрын
They really got rid of all the shit that made this case cool. Nr200 stood out for being compact but still versatile. Forced vertical video card means no air cooled cpu, and no glass panel. Super disappointing.
@simonsol50849 ай бұрын
The nr200 v1 should just added a front fan with mesh panel so you can have it as an exhaust for the GPU that builds up heat... if you are using the Nr200 normal gpu straight into motherboard. that would have helped with cooling temps and I would have been able to cool both the CPU and GPU from the side and use top and front as exhaust.. At the moment my temps are good but on a risen 5900x and RX 7900xtx it does get hot.. I am forcing the temps to max 78degree cause I think the temps goes crazy when I am in Warzone..

I put my build in stand-by waiting for this case and is a huge disappointment. All they needed to do was add USB-C, make the case taller to accomodate AIOs (changing the top bracket as well) and larger for the new monster GPUs. Now I either grab a V1 with increased price due to discontinuation or go back to square one since Dan Case also stopped selling the C4-SFX V1

When can you buy this?
@bakakafka44289 ай бұрын
Much better than the v1 for me: horizontal GPU doesn't work with big large cards, enough videos on YT on breaking cards due to the weight. Also supporting larger cards (mine would not fit v1, which is why I didn't go ITX, very few cases do support large cards). I just hope the riser cable is included for $140.
@jw85549 ай бұрын
This V2 model is literally just the NR200P Max not bundled with the AIO and PSU. I feel 140 is a bit high though. As long as they don't discontinue the V1 and leave both available, having a model more radiator friendly for the open loop enthusiast is at least welcome in my book.

They are discontinuing the v1. Cooler Master pulled a Discord.

“Kicked off the sFF craze”? What? Lol. The craze was far before it with Silverstone and many other manufacturers. Even before CM the dancase, fractal designs and a slew of others captivated the market but this gave everyone an entry point. These changes to the Nr200P will be a welcome change! NR200P was around $100. It will now be $150+ because of the pcie extension cable that will be required. I will get the Lian Li A4-H20. Smaller, great performance and likely just as cheap if not cheaper!

Ya they missed the point of thr nr200p. People liked it because of the flexibility, cost. It also was a nice case because it checked all of rhe boxes for an itx build while still being large and open enough to build in it was a great case for that. I honestly perfer vertical mounting over horizontal, but not sure i will build in this. For $140 there are other options.

I am happy with my nr200p with 3090 , 240mm aio. Gpu nevrr goes beyind 72c at 1445 rpm with slim intake fans on bottom (mesh magnetic filter is in the case covering bottom fans). With 3d printed feets rised 1.2cm more for better air flow. I want to ditch my arctic aio to phantom spirit 120se and use glass panel

Side mounting on a riser for Founders Editions now heats the ram and cpu for good
@Koeras169 ай бұрын
Good way to stress test your RAM at least...and put some more thermal pressure on your cpu.
@Iscandelt9 ай бұрын
What the heck cooler master?! All you needed to do is add type C and enlarge a bit the case (+1-2cm length and same for width) to allow mounting enormous 40series gpus. It'd be perfect in this case. This is just, wtf... -price is going to be steep (most probably due to added riser) in comparison to og - forcing AIO and vertical mount - taking away flexibility of V1.
@RulzSG9 ай бұрын
This looks just like the NR200P Max without the included PSU and AIO. It is not a truely version 2 of the iconic NR200, but rather a refresh of the line. The Nr200 was release over 3 years ago and cooler master has always tried to update one of their most popular itx case. Personally, Im not a fan of this redesign. It doesn't improve enough the great design the original NR200 has.
@chrisbullock64779 ай бұрын
I was hoping coolermaster would update the NR200P MAX to accommodate the growing number of GPU's that exceed the length of the current one for gpu's. There's thousands of builds with Nvidia provided Founders editions of 4090's which are small compared to aftermarket versions which are the majority and also some 7900XTX cards although the AMD cards tend to fit much easier.

There is no reason to buy this when the Max already exists it’s just the cast basically Hopefully we can just order the top part from their replacement parts on the site and it works in the V1 can’t imagine why it wouldn’t right?

soo basically the nr200p max without the PSU and AIO
@samnaang9 ай бұрын
I don't like AIO because the pump might be noisy and it might be out of order. So we have to change the expensive AIO. You still have to change the AIO because the fluid doesn't last long.
