Great video, appreciate the gear breakdown and nuances of the game. Got a manners LRH on order for this next season.

Thanks for watching! The Manners LRH is an awesome choice-great balance for the field. What caliber are you planning to run with it? Would love to hear how it performs for you!

Building my first nrl hunter rig right now.

That's exciting-building your first NRL Hunter rig is a big step! What kind of configuration are you putting together? We'd love to hear about the rifle, optics, and any other gear you're planning to use. Are there any pieces of equipment you’ve found interesting or essential that we might not be using? Always great to hear fresh perspectives!

@@806Guns This is Pat from the video. That sounds like a lot of fun. I know there are a lot of guys that are saying the 7mm SAW had quite a bit less recoil than a .308. Ive never shot one so let us know how you like it!

@@806Gunssounds like a great build. Staying under the weight can be tough. Bipod choice is something I’m digging through now too. I love my MDT but they are a lot of options and a little taller would be nice, like a triple pull but I don’t think I’d be under the weight.

I thought arca rails were useless until my first 22 match when someone slid their bipod right to their mag and had a solid shooting position on a 55gal barrel. Now I got 4 arca rails lol. Mountain Tactical actually makes a really sick one that bolts directly to a T3x with mloc and a swivel stud you can screw into it.

Using full length ARCA rails combined with a RRS tripod w/ Anvil head has been a monumental change for my western hunting. It opened up shot opportunities I would have never had before. I shot an antelope over a low intervening rise at 360 yards from a full standing position this fall and shot a coues deer at 380 yards across a canyon last year from a sitting position, all off that tripod.
@wyomingguncompany3327Ай бұрын
That's great to hear! The ARCA rail and RRS tripod combo really does open up new possibilities. Sounds like it’s been working perfectly for those longer shots. Are you planning to jump into any competition shooting, or are you already competing? Let us know if there’s something you’d like to see us cover-we’d love to help with any topics you're interested in learning more about!

@@wyomingguncompany3327 It's a touchy subject (especially for optics sponsors) but a recent interest of mine is zero retention / POI shift. I'm overhauling my hunting rifle/scope due to a 0.3 MIL zero shift during travel to that antelope hunt this past fall. It really damaged my confidence in my setup on the hunt even after I re-zeroed. Specifically Rokslide's drop testing and long-term travel testing scopes. Also procedures to maximize zero retention such as bedding the stock, using epoxy/loctite on scope base (if not integral), and loctiting / paint penning scope rings. The chassis/stock bedding is even catching on with PRS guys. If you look at the PRB survey, more and more of the top guys are bedding their chassis. The owner of MPA has talked about how it helps with preventing POI shift from side impacts to the barrel. Anyway that's a long ass train of thought but that's my recent obsession and something I think a lot more hunters should think about.

Bolts are on the wrong side
@wyomingguncompany3327Ай бұрын
Great observation! It might look a bit unusual at first, but Pat is actually left-handed, and his rifle is specifically built for left-handed shooters. The bolt is on the left side so he can cycle it efficiently without breaking his firing position. Left-handed actions are less common, so we totally get the confusion-thanks for pointing it out!
