This was very helpful. I was diagnosed with GAD and when I'm anxious my gut always tells me to do something counterproductive. Thank you so much for this video.

I get the point and it’s true that going out when you feel like isolating can help. But For a long period of time , I m putting pressure on my self ( I mean my gut says not to)to do activities that I think will help , and it’s getting tiring . What do you think ?

@@DrRamiNader yea and I try to keep that in my mind. But what I mean is , that even after a lot of time that I’ve been trying to go out with friends or participating in activities that think can help my mood, I still don’t feel naturally to do those things ( I guess my mood isn’t that better) , so I keep on forcing myself to do them and it’s tiring

Dr Rami where does the emotional reaction come from with Gad why can a person have the same thought and have no emotional reaction ( ex. Headache )while some do .

I think much of it has to do with the different ways that people interpret the situation. I discuss this concept more in a video on how cognitive therapy works: kzbin.info/www/bejne/aJfYhnp-pc-oj9k

Dr . Rami so what would you say the key is to overcoming Gad and excessive worry for good ?
@DrRamiNader
@DrRamiNader 3 жыл бұрын
Building tolerance for uncertainty. That's the key. The more tolerant a person is to uncertainty, the less likely they are to worry excessively.

@@DrRamiNader Thank you Dr.Nader I was thinking that. If you don’t mind could you do a video on perfectionism and fear of making mistakes and how to overcome it as well

Please read my problem , Around a week ago I am using Omegle (a stranger video cahtting app) and by mistake I opened my back camera and in front of me my family is sleeping and I realize it after video chat with two person around 10- 20 seconds and I realize that instead of my front camera my back camera is on and after that I am having continuous thoughts that what if that guy is recording it what if it gets viral (as my family cares a lot about privacy) I am having so bad thoughts continuosly even I started hitting my head to get rid of such thoughts (one thought is that it may be not posted now but but if someone will post it later after a 1-2 years) I also got suicidal thoughts feeling very guilty and finding impractical solutions for this like how can I check whether the person is recording or not or how to delete all the videos from internet like so on ,,,although I know the chances of happening this is negligible but am unable to live free. Please please please help me out ,please🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

I have to disagree. My intuitive self does not say things that are unhealthy. My ego is the one saying the bullshit narrative. Apparently you have some clients that are not truly intuitive, because true intuition tells you to love yourself.
