NSU Quickly Chopper. Made in Germany, Chopped in UK ! Video 001

This is the first Video of my Chopped NSU Quickly moped. I have been building it over the winter and am looking forward to getting it finished so that I can do a few runs with it this summer. It may not be for everyone but there you go !!!!! Would love to here your views on this project bike.

Hello Miles, hope you are well and thanks for your comment ! I have done a few more bits on this bike now and clocked up a few miles. I keep meaning to do a 002 update video! Yes, love the head lamp bracket and it has been commented on by a few people on some moped runs that I've been on. Take care, Mickey 🙂

Oh yes, you are quite right. I have a 3 speed box so it’s works for mine. However I think you could fabricate a transfer shaft and bracket quite easily?

What are the wheels actually off of? I have a 56 Quickly N that I have made into a Bobber. The brakes are shyte so thinking of using other wheels. I like the look of full width hubs as the brakes might actually work. Cheers. Great bike btw.

Hello Christopher, Glad you like my creation! I keep meaning to download another video of it as it is now 98% completed and I have put a few miles on the clock! The wheels are from a Quickly S23. To fit them to a Quickly N frame you will need to open up the rear spindle slot in the frame to 12mm and weld in a new brake back plate pin as I had to do. You will then need a set of front swinging arms from a S23. The reason for this is that the 26 inch Quickly N has 10mm spindles and the S23 has 12mm spindles. Hope this helps. Another problem I can see is that the rear brake lever is on the wrong side for my 56 N Quickly
