Nsync - Winter Olympics - National Anthem

Nsync performs the national anthem, "The Star Spangled Banner". One of their best acapella performances ever in my opinion.

For a 5 part harmony you need all parts. Without Lance's bass, the group would not have been complete. Without Joey's baritone the group would have not been complete. Without Chris' countertenor the group's sound would not be complete. Just because Justin and JC sang lead doesn't mean they were more important.

^You could tell how hard it was for JC to slow down a bit & control his voice over the others. His voice usually pops out (in a good way), because he's a powerful singer.

Gives me chills EVERYTIME! You can really hear EVERY voice in this and love that Lance's bass voice comes out so much! Groups today can not do things like this without the technology because they really don't have a strong voice...this was true voice power!

One of the best renditions ever! Nsync really did have incredible harmonies! Most people underestimate thier talent because they were a pop group, but I use to tell folx-listen to them a capella and THEN talk. Chris got the high notes on lock, and Lance always comes strong with the bass. Great blend! Great band!

As far as the arrangement goes? It was no nonsense in it's simplicity which I thinks works for the Star Spangled Banner, with enough interesting key changes and individual interpretation to make it their own, but not so complicated that it becomes more about the artist(s) and not the song. Overall great job N'SYNC! It's a shame how we all grow up and go our seperate ways.

I think it's well-known by Nsync who was the best singer in the group-- JT just recently stated JC was the best singer! JT was the best at winning the crowd over, but JC was byfar the most talented. I think JC's lead on this track was deserving, JT's vocals are too light to carry such a heavy song! Nsync's harmonies were THE best!

i saw justins 20/20 experience tour on december 11 2013 here in indiana at bankers life fieldhouse & he kicked ass! he was there the night b4 the show at the pacer game too & my dad showed me on tv. it was roy hibberts birthday at the show & justin had us sing happy birthday 2 him! after the intermission he sang let the groove get in & his stage moved 2 the middle of the room. it was sooooo fucking cool! he did a light show 4 only when i walk away & it was the best damn part!!! he was insane & hes always gonna be my favorite from the group! go JT!!!

I looked up the boyz to men version...it was all over the place and didn't move me like this version and i am a big boyz to men fan....In this version I thought the key change was a nice surprise. The ending had such a solemn reverence that i got a little choked up. I could definitely tell by the look on the faces of the audience that how thankful they were for such a wonderful moment. I know I was. The most technically superior?... maybe not. But that is the charm of live performance.

Even eight years later, I still think this is the best (because most touching) rendition of "The Star-Spangled Banner". Especially the last bars (at "and the home of the brave") get me every time. They have such a wonderfully modest and melancholic touch. When I heard that part for the first time eight years ago, I immediately thought about 9/11 and how bravely the United States recovered from that tragedy.

I was watching *NSYNC's Bio 2day on TV, & even though JC had a much stronger coice than Justin, he felt overshadowed by Justin because they were both on the same label(Jive) Meaning, they gave Justin more attention than JC, why>> because Justin was younger than JC...that is why JC left Jive Records..I THINK THATS WRONG!! JC SHOULD GET MORE CREDIT 4 WHAT HE DOES HE DESERVES IT!, I mean that guy could SING!!..I LOVE U JC CHASEZ!!!

JC has a 4 octave range voice. I don't know any boy band singer who has that. I mean Mariah Carey has a 5 octave range voice, but still JC carries a lot of weight when it comes to voice talent and singing abilities.

ur right and not only the fact that justin was the baby but he got a tremendous amount of exposure for dating britney spears in the early '00s. im a fan of justin but a BIGGER FAN OF JC! lol and the funny part is JC wuz the original lead singer of the group by the first album, then they went through no strings attached and by the time they got to the 3rd album it wuz justin this justin that. he even sung 'Gone' entirely leading it. its a good song but JC wudve made it bigger.

Nsync did great. Im not gonna lie,they sang it better than Backstreet Boys. What do u expect? Nsync came 2nd after Bsb,so they obviously observed Bsb and had time 2 polish up on their routine,as i always say, Nsync were amazing and worthy rivals 2 BSB. I like them both
